I can understand people being Tories and I can understand people being Labour. What I cannot understand is people supporting Corbyn (for me he messed up the Labour party). What i cannot understand is people supporting Bonko (for me he is messing up the Conservative party).
I don't supose for a second that the Labour Politicians are any worse than their Tory opponants. But living in The North East, we have more Labour members and their failings make it look this way. Persoaly I'm still waiting for our three local ladies to aplogise for misleading us when they said that if we voted Brexit again, Nissan would up-sticks and leave, Were they intentionaly lying, or was this just very poor judgement on their part?
If it wasn't for Farage's party standing in the GE 2019 and taking votes away from the Tories i reckon more Labour MPs would not have been elected.
Possibly both, but also because Nissan are always threatening to go whenever they want their own way.
But they do provide thousands of good jobs with more to come in the not too distant future. The region is much better off with them than without them. And if I know this then it's no great wonder that Nissan are also aware of their value. So, really, EVERYBODY knows it, except our three MP's. (Sorry, couldn't resist that one).
This is the kind of thing that creates uncertainty ... ... I know nothing about these MPs though, in all honesty https://www.theguardian.com/busines...s-new-x-trail-will-not-be-built-in-sunderland "Nissan has confirmed it is abandoning plans to build a new model of one of its flagship vehicles at its Sunderland plant, as it warned that uncertainty over Brexit was affecting businesses."
I’m genuinely interested in what the Tory voters, even if still Labour haters, think of the Tories at this point. They talked about ‘pride in being British’ and it appears we are an incompetent laughing stock and whatever you believe about Brexit/remain their version has had a huge impact on our everyday trade and cost of living and left us largely isolated. They are toffee nosed ****ing half wits as far as I can see and need to show some humility. They talk levelling up and increase national insurance contributions. Levelling up is more income tax on the wealthy. The honest tax. To fund regeneration. Not even socialist Labour do it honestly.
do you need one smug just pick your own, all i remember is can you name any promise they kept, and apart from the hardcore of 5 or so on the thread, the majority of people picked the least worst option which brought the biggest labour defeat since the war
I voted Tory last time out, because I believed that they would deliver on the Peoples Referendum request to get out of Europe, And they did. I dislike Boris, even more than I dislike most polititions. But your question refered not to him, but the Tory Party. I have no strong feelings about either party at the moment. I am always suspicious of extremists, but Sir Kier seems to have them on a tight leash for now in his Party. The Tory extremists, the Right Wing, usualy racist seem to be a dying race. So not a lot of difference. Localy, our 'Three Ladies' showed complete disdain for the views of their electorate after the Brexit Referenda, and I might well return the compliment at the next election. I can not remember the last time I liked a tory candidate either, so my usual ploy of voting for whichever Party is in opposition will throw up a problem for me that I will face when I have to.. I will add that I had high hopes od Sir Kier when he was elected Labour Leader. It's taken a while, but it looks like he might now be stepping up to the mark. That could only be good for the system. Getting rid of Boris would be even better , IN MY OPINION.
