I've been on the Jury twice, one was for murder the other drugs running into the UK from Europe, I think the former was 6 weeks long, the latter about 2+ weeks. Pure luck or unlucky depending on how you look at it, to get two major trials, after the murder trial the judge made us exempt for about 10 years from selection again, which has expired now. You could be selected for anything though or just left to sit around for two weeks doing fook all, so take a good book with you.
I had armed robbery at a post office in Herts. A flakey hippie who found loads of weed dumped in some sacks and a stabbing that got thrown out of court. All good and quite an insight
