Also, its looks like Charlie Methven (KildareMackem) has taken Roy Keane out of the race to be the next manager on RTG. Remember, Stewart Donald and Charlie Methven have never appointed a successful SAFC manager.
Oh absolutely, I don't disagree. All signs point to a short term contract and his close ties with a non executive director would certainly alleviate some concerns. To be honest, I think the footballer circle is moving back towards having a head coach who can lead, set a culture of professionalism, respect and hard work. Can't all be kisses and cuddles. And also, he's not unreasonable and understands his own floors, he's very open about that. I think he's as much chance as anyone else domestically. If we do look further afield it won't be him.
The similarities of where we were when he came to us before and where we are now are striking! If his impression of us hasn't changed from then to now,he might fancy another go.
I love Keane but I can't help thinking it would be a mistake. Would give everyone a lift, me included, but goes against what we're trying to do now. Reckon Kyril could sweet talk Jesse Marsch?
Oh I agree, I was just wondering if his argument had any substance apart from "it's ****". Apparently not
I was wondering about Jesse Marsch. Wasn't his departure from RB Leipzig under a bit of a cloud though? Also, is he a bit defensive, maybe? Likes a double pivot I think.
I feel Keane would be a disaster for us. Great if we were at the other end of the table but I don't think he has what we need to get promoted.
Well shut your eyes , then shut your negative mouth , only saying what virtually all the forum want to say !!!
I don't know or heard anything on timescales at present. It's closely being kept inhouse. Though an experienced person is expected who would be a good head coach..fits into the model and does as there told..that's why I can see us going after a Alex Neil or Grant McCann type manager.
