I saw that too OFH and had a little chuckle... I think it might explain some other referee's performances too ;-)

I was thinking do they have the same for Samoa or Tonga and the other nations who have their own versions of the Haka or an equivalent. I think it takes a fair amount of guts to stick the finger up at the Kiwis when they are in full blood lust mode of the Haka.

It seems unless you just stand there and 'take it', NZ get upset and 'insulted' by any act when they are performing the Haka. I think you should be able to do what you want really... The Haka is a challenge to the opposition, so they should be allowed to 'accept' the challenge how they see fit!

Happy start of Diwali - The Indian chaps at work have brought in boxes and boxes of Samosa's and Indian sweets to celebrate the start of Diwali, the Samoa's are rather hot, but very very good....so much for the diet salad for lunch!

The best way to deal with the ceremonial haka is to turn your back on it. I wouldn't do that if you were fighting the Maoris as they would stick you in the back with a spear or something.

Góðan dag til allra, I am returned to a very snowy Akureyri. There is fog and rain and 0C.

I did not get to Hull on my travels but reading about the game we did quite well but not enough. The concert on Sunday was good and I met Coney Hatch, who were my reason for coming to Nottingham. I met my English rock friends as well and drank a lot for me, English beer is cheap. I did not find any Hooky but I did find a beer called Stonehenge. <ale>

I first read that as Coney Hutch - and I thought blimey AK has been meeting with a pet house, then I read it again as Colney Hatch and thought, that's better AK has been back in the special hospital after too much Hooky!<eek>
