That's the big problem isn't it. Everyone bar Sunak is a genuine nutcase, and unlike Johnson they do not give a **** whether you like them or not. Things would very likely get worse, not better.
NOT Rishi Sunak,he's doing too good a job at The Treasury. After that either, Sajid Javid or Kwasi Kwarteng. But I confess a dislike of most Politicians. Also I don't follow the ebb and flow of Party tnternal politics with much interst. Quite honestly I don't see an obvious candidat, apart from Sunak. I would like no more former Eton Boys for a while. Say the next twenty years. That should see me out!!! I am reminded of a line fron the Episode of Yes Minister, where Jim Hacker gets The PM's job. Early in the script Sir Hunphry and Sir Arnold, (Head of The Civil Service) are discusing the candidates. Sir Arnold muses, 'it's like deciding which lunatic to put in charge of the asylum'
https://news.sky.com/story/jimmy-sa...ithdraw-sir-keir-starmer-accusations-12530517 Our prime minister is vile and immoral. People who elected him hang your heads in shame. Most of his party are backing him.
If the PM has to resort to this, in the House, it's really quite pathetic, and sad. Using the victims of sexual abuse to aim such a low blow is despicable imo.
It’s another level of bad. It’s a lie started on hidden far right discussion pages to smear liberals and undermine the rule of law, and the fact that the prime ****ing minister used it in the House of Commons shows how much he respects democracy. He wants power ahead of the right thing. Genuinely interested if anyone who voted Conservative disagree with anything Starmer says here - like him or not . https://www.indy100.com/politics/keir-starmers-speech-boris-johnson
There's not a lot to disagree with in that speech, is there? The Savile reference was completely unacceptable from Johnson.
It's touching that so many in the population seem to expect our Politicians to behave well and with dignity. Over my lifetime so many of them have been caught doing quite the opposite, How many of the rest were also being less than upright and honest is a matter of speculation, but The Expenses Scandal suggests to me that most of them were. So why the surprise?
I find it hard to understand why the Labour voters can’t see this, they are all as bent as they come, Labour probably the worst of the lot but let’s turn a blind eye to them as that’s who they vote for.
I watched that speech live and Starmer was excellent, not just in what he said but in his delivery and the eye contact he maintained with Johnson throughout. Whatever your politics the difference between the two men is palpable, in my opinion Starmer's carries himself with dignity and Johnson is nothing more than a bumbling fool.
I can't speak for anyone but myself. I could never vote for the Momentum led party of Corbyn, but Starmer is slowly turning me towards voting for his Labour Party at the next GE. I will read the main parties manifestos as I always do and make my mind up then, not by listening to historical lies and misinformation. As it happens Rooch, I reckon the Conservatives party have a set of values that are not akin to Johnson, they will install a PM with more kerb appeal to fight the next election
For me the 3 words that describe: Starmer, boring, competent and clever.. Bonko, clowning, incompetent and dumb
What I look at Conservative have policies( even if you don’t like them ) Labour don’t like the conservatives policies.
That’s just opposition though ie they wait until general election time and then oppose inbetween. Have to say despite not liking Corbyn I quite liked Labours policies last time round and I had a good look. They were deemed anti business because they wanted people to pay their fair share but so they bloody well should. Middle earners shouldn’t be shafted by business blaggers.
