    People on WFC forums getting in a flap because Bournemouth are getting a Liverpool defender on loan .

    The reality might be they maybe didn’t want to loan Philips out to another PL game or preferred him to join a team with a winning mind set !

    It may be more to do with the fact that both we and Leicester offered less of a loan fee - Bournemouth are paying £1.5m + a bonus if he helps them gain promotion. Our offer was rejected.

    It was probably made up as we are never going to spend 20 million on one player in the Championship.

    Well no one came in the end .

    The most important signing might be Hodgson himself .
