Correct. One of the most magnificent moments in their career. That bass guitar on Black and White is savage and is essentially the lead guitar. Not saying he's the best bassist (couldn't care about that) but he was definately one of the most influential and ground breaking.
I think JJ Burnel's bass on most Stranglers tracks is awesome, you can tell he trained as a classical guitarist. Are you a Black or a White side? I'm now getting the album out for another listen.
Love both sides myself, can't listen to Burnel singing though, even now!! Forgot how good the lyrics on Curfew were. This will now lead to me getting out all my old vinyl.
Back to the op's point. He is right. There is no such thing as democracy in this country. Probably doesn't really exist in any country.
