Well you got the old bit right <laugh>

As for your footballing concepts, you literally just said that the reason Pogba and Bruno were gash against you, was because they failed to track back, which is a coaching issue isn't it ?

Which is what I was just telling you <ok>

Dele defo a gamble. There's a player in there somewhere, but has he got the mentality ? Maybe under Fat Frank he can rediscover it, but it's a big if imo

No Ponks it's an effort and application issue
... often symptomatic of a bad attitude that may, in turn, be a reflection of an over inflated ego ... there ... we got there in the end ... well done mate, there is hope for you yet <cheers>

I tell you now if he does rediscover the form it will be for a month or two at best. Every coach has given him the chance to impress because everyone has thought what you said…that there is a player in there…he huffs n puffs but just didn’t make a telling contribution

It’s his head…he’s like not focused right. He was fine till he got into fashion, women and being a pretty boy playing his Xbox after his big contract. He’s only moved to Everton because the two Manchester clubs and Pool were never buying him and he wants to have Pep’s daughter on tap.

trus me I know this jiggers game

I hope he does well..but I don’t see it in medium to long term.

Tracking back is a coaching issue Flossy. The manager instructs the players to have certain roles in a team that include, especially for midfield players, both attacking and defending. If they aren't doing that, then that's a coaching issue. If it's a player attitude issue, then again, it's something that needs to be picked up in training and coaching.

Both Pogba and Bruno have demonstrated that, when coached right, they are world class players. That's just a fact Flos. I'm not saying Van De Beek isn't a decent player, but he's yet to set it alight at the very top level.

Man Utd have a clutch of extremely talented players, but they aren't being coached right. Ole and Ragnips aren't up to the task.

Your assessment that it's just down to ego is an oversimplification. Even Ronaldo gets hooked at that club and he's got an ego almost as big as yours <ok>

He seems like the sort of player that needs to be loved and constantly told how good he is. Poch seemed to be able to get the best out of him, but something defo changed with Dele after that 2017-18 season. LIke you say, seems like his head isn't in the right place and he's not giving it the required graft.

Who knows, maybe Fat Frank will be able to get something out of him. And like I'm trying to explaing to Flossy, sometimes it's a coaching issue. But with Dele it's not just one or two technical issues that he's not doing right, it's his whole game that's gone to the dogs.

we of Tottenham believe Dele playing alongside prime Dembele and Eriksen is what got the best out of him. His game was to run late into box…a bit like prime Lampard…the other midfield factors that win a game such as controlling the mid and tempo, tackling and making killer passes was done by the other 2 mainly so it freed the boy up. If Everton’s mid isn’t up for it that way then don’t expect much is all am saying.

his biggest hope is Lampard sees himself in him and tweeks his game in a manner Jose and Conte couldn’t…good luck.

If there are any avid Juve fans on here I would love to hear your take on our two new recruits.

however I know there isn’t so it dont matter what you lot think

we just bought two ballers…will tear it up in midfield.

Similar issue with Van de Beek. In that Ajax team he had De Jong and Schone working alongside him, which allowed him to spearhead that attacking midfield. They also had Ten Hag coaching them and an incredible back four, the whole thing just gelled really well.

Not sure how Everton are going to incorporate both him and Dele in that Midfield, like you say, without the grafters who are there to allow them to express themselves. Fat Frank could do it, box to box, tackle and attack. But he needs to mould a midfield that has all the elements for them two to shine.

    Correct.

The problem was he coudn't get into the team ahead of Fred or McTominay.

Pogba and Fernandes aren't in the equation regards DVDB.

Don’t know why he wasn’t given a chance ahead of Fred and McTominay, that doesn’t make any sense.

But yeah, it’s obvious that Pogba and Bruno are on a different level and there’s no way he starts ahead of them.

Obvious to everybody other than Flossy the ‘old head’ of course.

Because of Solskjaer's insistence that he had to play 2 DCM's to 'protect' our centre halves.

DVDB was never fitting in the team in these circumstances. He's a box to box, or should be.

He played that ACM role brilliantly for Ajax, but as I mentioned in a previous post, that’s because he had De Jong and Schone alongside him doing the grafting.

Also, as I’ve tried to point out to flossy, much of it comes down to coaching. If the manger isn’t using the players in the right way, or instructing them to do their roles properly, then it’s not going to work.

Pogba and Bruno are world class, but in a team that isn’t being coached very well, they aren’t going to fulfil their potential. They don’t fail to track back because their ego won’t allow it. They don’t track back because the manager isn’t giving them the right instructions.
