Seems a lovely lad. Fascinating anecdote about whether he should travel up last night or in the morning. seems very unrapey, always a plus.
Trippier 9 wanted to move back here Gamireas 10 biggest coup by far Burn 7 he's a good player and a local lad Targett 7 he's a good player Wood 5 I don't rate him, but he does a job. Overall it's a job well done in difficult circumstances and in a notoriously difficult window especially for strikers. We're a much stronger side now
------------------------Dubs Trippier - - - schar - - - burn - - - - Targett ---------Willock - Gamireas Joelinton - - - - - - - ---Fraser - - - - - -Wood ------ Saint max That's a nice looking side imo sadly will go with lacelles and Jonjo over schar and willock, but even that's a better 11.
I'm hoping he's started him cause he's new and needs the captain on side and the Injury will provide an easy way to drop him and keep him out of the team
What I mean is hopefully he won't be able to recover his spot cause the players in front of him are "playing so well"
This. Same for the captaincy.... I'd 'ease' lascelles back into the fold.... by which time Trips will have led the new look team to a bunch of wins and so Eddie wouldn't want to change a winning team...... Then in the Summer.... pedal his useless arse away.
Think I'd drop the ratings for Burn, Targett and Wood by 1. However, the owners clearly tried. It's Ashley/Bruce that left us in such a ****ing mess we couldn't attract better. We're clearly stronger - the fact there's now FOUR players between Matt Ritchie and left back is a plus! And Hendrick is gone. Obviously they'd love to be shot of Gayle, Clark, Lewis and I daresay others, but these are overpaid tw@ts happy to milk it, not bothered about playing, which tells you all you need to know about the character of squad Ashley helped assemble.
The HUGE thing for me is they now need to be up at 6am getting a DoF structure sorted. We cannot go into the Summer relying on Nickson, the rest of the overhaul has to begin in earnest so we're much better equipped to do the necessary research and, critically, get players out of the club. I don't know the inner workings and will trust to the owner and whoever comes in to run things, but from the outside in Nickson appears fairly useless, and Ameobi seems utterly useless (mirroring his efforts as a player). I think with the club spending £100m, it's pretty clear there's money. And lots of it. With more willing selling clubs, we could have gone comfortably over £200m. Even typing that number is absolutely mental. So to my mind the rebuild will now begin and we will start to reshape the inner workings of the club, which is just as exciting as shaping the squad. January may have been a tough month, but we certainly weren't helped by Nickson/Ameobi.
Along with Clark, Hayden, Gayle, Ritchie, Darlow, Shelvey, Longstaffs, Krafth, Dummett..... Boy we have some dross to clear the summer if we stay up..
If we stay up the days of signing cloggers will be over. From the summer it'll be 2 3 or even 4 players at a young age and at the standard of gamereas. I won't lie I was expecting a better striker than Wood, but I guess January is hard to get strikers as the people involved always tell us. I do wonder if he can get the goals.. I've said for years we need two good cms and finally we've got one and I believe we'll be better at both ends for it.
