Keiron Evans loan to Linfield confirmed. Not to disrespect the League of Ireland but it's a bit of a step down for the lad. Hopefully it'll give him some good game time and a chance to strengthen up a bit though.
Sang out too, St Johnston.... Bit of a shame that one as it would have been good to continue seeing what he could do in midfield, but I guess Doyle has taken that birth for now.
Reported Moore submitted a transfer request. Looks like his agent put the word out or he was tapped up. Loyalty a thing of the past.
Irish League, Brizzle. (Northern Ireland). League of Ireland don’t start until mid to late Feb and play through the summer. Linfield have been the top team there for a few seasons and could help bring the lad along. Hope so.
Well, apart from the disappointment of not moving out Bacuna and to a lesser extent Vaulks, I honestly think it has proved to be a fairly decent window for us. Ok, that's based on Hugill continuing to stay fit and work his socks off like on Sunday and not knowing what kind of impact Ikpeazu will make (not just the dents in the ground he must leave as he walks either) but all in all I think we've done ok.
Saw that too, I think Sparks called that when he changed his agent. Always thought if they don't want to stay get rid asap.
Overall, I'm pretty happy too. Vaulks' hospital lunge crocking Grabban probably cost us Surridge, but with Huggill already on board and Ikpeazu since, I'm OK with Moore leaving. In fact I'm relieved he's gone. His body language has been very negative this season, and his formal transfer request to leave the club finished him for me. As far as players going out, nobody was going to take Bacuna on those wages (£27K/wk). Vaulks remaining as the midfield hatchet man doesn't surprise me. He's a popular squad member with the right competitive attitude but lacks control, particularly mentally. Sorry to see Sang going to Jockland on loan - I thought he was coming good again after his toe operation with some dazzling performances in midfield for the under 23's. At the back, the game against Forest showed we now have a template to take forward. The two loanee wingbacks Drameh and Doughty will bring width going forward. I must say I do like the experience of Mozza in the middle at the back with the the pace and movement of the younger McGuinness and Ng either side of him. All in all, a decent window - it's now up to SM to make the best use of the tools he's got at his disposal. With Watters and Wintle called back, he's got 7 new players of his own choice on board. Time for everyone to shape up.
The Jacks wanted Giles on deadline day but their yank owners turned it down and 2 other loaners. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
Putting in a written request was what he wanted to avoid as it effects how much he got when signing on for City which is paid in instalments equivalent to the length of his contract. Wonder if AFCB made up the amount he lost?
A good article on Cody's reasons for coming to us. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar He was awesome last night with his gut busting runs. Their left midfield and full back didn't know what hit them. They can't have played against anyone like that before. Have we ever had a full back capable of last night's efforts?
