This would have to be an improvement to our strike force, as this season Foo Kin Nowan has scored more the Mo Salah!
Man, I'm glad we aren't owned by one of our fans. Reading some of the crap on Twatter today you'd think we were marooned in the relegation zone, not safely in mid table. The teams that do a load of business in January do so because they're desperate.
Maybe those fans are a bit pissed off because they are seeing those teams that are below us strengthen, and they'd assumed with a change of ownership there may have finally been some money spent. Instead we have situation normal.
We will spend. In the summer when prices aren't stupidly inflated. Any fan who thought we were going to splash the cash this month is ****ing deluded. Ralph has said all along they'd only enter the market for the right player and the right deal.
Ralph and the board have both said from the start - we aren't going to suddenly spend a ton of cash and that any business this month will be "Tino-like" deals. We obviously wanted and tried to do a deal for Broja but were told not yet. The window has gone exactly as they told us it would.
True enough, but it seems odd that fans would only complain now the window is closing when we have been told all along this is what will happen.
Normal and stabilised. The reason the guys who now own the Club is because over the long term, they know how best to spend hard earned cash.
is it the double header of Matt target and Dan burn Lincoln? Is that what has got you all antsy? Strengthening.
Yeah. Worth it if he hits his best level but with wages of 100k it’s a risk and I don’t feel like Delle will be frothing over a shift to Everton. Doesn’t feel like a dream come true so who knows.
After joking about Newcastle I’ll be surprised to see them still in the relegation zone at the end of the season. They’ve been shafted on fees but signed plenty of experience. Whether they will settle in as a team quickly will be the question.
if our form continues as it has we definately didn’t need to sign anyone. It feels like we are safe but injuries and COVID can hit anytime so you’re right no one is ever safe anywhere.apart from City.
Newcastle apparently attempting to “gazump” Everton for Alli. The inverted commas are because their attempt is via loan rather than whacking an immediate cash offer on the table
I'd be pretty worried, and annoyed, if I was a Burnley fan. Sure, they've signed a replacement for Wood, but that is it. And with almost half of Wood's transfer fee still in their back pocket. Yes they're a mighty 11 points behind Brentford, but they also have five games in hand on them. And still have to play them. With some reinforcements, it wouldn't be totally out of the question for Burnley to catch them (in my opinion, it's Brentford who Burnley would need to catch in addition to Watford and Norwich). But with their squad as it is, I don't see it at all.
I think there’s a good chance Newcastle & Everton’s business get them moving up the league (unfortunately) fairly soon. If (big if) any of Burnley, Watford or Norwich manage to put something together, Leeds and/or Brentford could be nervously looking over their shoulders.
