Yeah, but come on - Targett? Burn? Wood? They're Ashley-level signings. I actually felt quite embarrassed trying to explain the Wood one in particular, though Dan Burn is a close second. Targett at least was reasonable last season, but he's miles from being at Trippier's level.

Overall we have strengthened and of course Bruno is the star of the show - but we're still going to be including Shelvey, Fraser, Lascelles, Wood in the side. We need better.

If they'd signed big names they'd have said they should have signed players that aren't just after money.

There's nothing nufc will ever do that those arseholes won't criticise.

They've got it coming big time

When did nufc last buy a cb for 13 million?

    They're good players.

Honestly you're driving me crazy... Its never ending moaning lol... This time last year you were saying we'd never get this takeover...

We're 18th.... Why can't you understand how difficult it is to persuade top players in January to risk their careers and international place?

Being where we are in the league meant we were signing the likes of wood etc. Let's be honest, Bruno and Trippier are above what we should have attracted. Let's enjoy today and see how the season unfolds. Would like another striker in AND a central defender though

The one and only point of this transfer window is to keep us in the premier league this season.

Building a squad is a bit pointless at this stage as we'll end up paying over the odds in transfers and particularly wages to convince clubs to sell in January and players to join a struggling side. We'll kick on in the summer window.

With that in mind, it's been a good window. A solid CB, a great RB, a very exciting CM, and a solid CF.

With the Mike Ashley years in mind, it's been a ****ing fantastic one.

Slightly weird window. Hampered by a lack of expertise and leadership - I mean, why the **** are Gayle, Hendrick, Clark, Hayden and Ritchie still here? Odd.

I think maybe we were spoiled by the incredible arrival of Trippier, he became the yardstick and only Bruno is anywhere near that level. I also, unfairly, thought after Bruno we'd kick on over Sun/Mon and bring in some bigger names.

Because they're **** and no one wants them, I think the tripper signing gave people really unrealistic expectations of how this window would go and its like people have forgotten where we are in the table with teams around us having games in hand on us too.

Good signing proven in the league and can hit the ground running.. You could argue its less risky than Botman or Carlos at this stage. local lad too..

Gonna be slightly miffed if we don't get an attacker in like.

No guarantees either of those two would adjust to the league where as Burn is a known quality and his numbers this season are very good, im shocked at some of the moaning on here especially after the Ashley years.

We desperately need something attack minded, else we're rocking up with Wood and Fraser on the pitch, and even worse options behind them.

There's a group of human beings involved here.. The group needs to feel valued. I think people forget that it's very important not to upset the applecart too much.. Gradually do things or you risk losing the dressing room and having a mess

That applecart was careening towards the Championship thanks the the feckless laziness of the current group of no-marks!
