I think Mick could do a job for us. Good bloke as well. It just seems an uncomfortable fit for where we are now.

Been trying to think of managers with multiple promotions, in the english game only, just for interest.

    Warnock
    Cook
    Jackett
    Grayson
    Mowbray
    Lambert
    Parkinson
    Pulis
    McCarthy
    Robins
    Adkins

I hope that is the case, but I also hope that the club aren't thinking that he will be the answer to shoring things up at the back, when there's still a gaping hole in central midfield. That area needs addressing more than the CB one imo.

I couldn’t care less who it is, I’m not bothered as long as they get us up, worry about what happens next, then.

So out of that lot - to win us 12 or 13 games from 17 - maybe, then Warnock, McCarthy or Mowbraw? If it's McCarthy (who I think would be a good fit on a 1.5-2.5 year contract, always has a '1st team coach' who I think handles defensive coaching. Am I remembering that right?

From that list, Cook looks like the best fit to me.

Yes I'd like cook too. Not sure what the objections are to McCarthy though. All we need is to be solid and then we have some many good forward players we will score goals. Johnson was making it far too difficult.

I'm not sure McCarthy would fit with the background set up. He might be willing to. I'm not sure he'd play the type of football the owners are expecting either.

I didn't say I wanted him <laugh>. He just seems to me to be the one who'd fit the set up best.

I see McCoist thinks Lennon is a perfect fit. I'll hang myself if that sad situation happened. Well, after a bit of thought maybe I'll just stop supporting the lads. Then again, Lennon ..... hangings too good, I may just keep supporting and suffer the inevitable pain.
