We seem to have had a number of this type of player over the years. Ones that show promise and you really hope they are going to establish themselves but in your heart of hearts know they're not going to. As Tom says, he could come good and I really hope he does but he will have to start showing it soon.
Its not just us, most “flair” players who show any sort of consistency end up at the top teams. Most mid table/bottom half teams have players on their day who are great, they just don’t do it every, or even most, games.
The Dutch Chris Wood. Wout Weghorst: Burnley sign Netherlands striker from Wolfsburg for £12m - BBC Sport Decent business by Burnley TBF.
Weg means road, or way. Horst actually does means brushwood, or undergrowth so he's not quite Wood, but he is a bit woody
I’ve never seen him play, any good? Seems a great fit for Burnley, big lump. Not bad goals per game as well. Hopefully he’s more Carrillo than Pelle
Rumours from the Midlands that we're making a last minute bid for Sam Johnstone. Nothing concrete yet though.
Newcastle have just loaned Freddie Woodman to Bnmth - looks like they have secured a new Keeper, probably Henderson
It sounds like it's either us or Everton for Alli to choose from. And Everton would have to sign him permanently as they're using up their last loan spot on Van de Beek. At this stage of the window loans are easier to complete so unless a new club comes in for him Alli's options are rather limited.
Could Work out well for us. Spurs would obviously prefer to sell him but if that breaks down you'd think they would rather save £50k/week of his wages and get him out of training / in the shop window for a few months rather than have him hang about and and Spurs get no money at all for him.
I think Spurs would come to a compromise over wages if it meant him leaving. It's still a massive longshot but it could yet still happen.
