Delighted that Eriksen will be playing in the PL, I expect he’ll get a magnificent reception from our away fans when we’re at Brentford in April. He left on a bit of a sour note but given everything he’s been through, I think I’m just happy to see him on a pitch again. He and Lampard have the same agent, so don’t rule it out.
There's been persistent rumours of a demonstration tonight, outside Hotspur Way. ENIC and Levy really won't want that being the night's headline for the club, so I'd reckon that we'll be making announcements of the Bentancur and Kulusevski signings later tonight. It's also being suggested that, to avoid any dildo related incidents, Sky's team will be allowed to film from inside the gates.
Fat Frank confirmed by Everton as their manager on a 2.5 year deal. Let’s see if the Dele rumours ramp up in the next few hours
I think it’s possible yeah, with Sigurdsson out of the picture, Everton don’t have any attacking mids in their team. Doucoure, Allan and Gomes are middle of the park players. It could be that van de Beek plays as an 8 and should Dele join them he’d be the 10.
Talk that Lo Celso’s loan also includes a buy option. Lyon and Villarreal could become our subconscious second teams this season and throughout the summer.
The irony is that they'll probably both be brilliant in those leagues, in which case we may get some decent money for them. EPL doesn't suit everyone's game
Hopefully they are, if they're as bad for them as they've been for us then we get lumbered with them in the summer. I do worry that Lyon have zero intention of paying the buy option fee for Ndombele though, just can't see them wanting to pay us the same amount we paid them knowing full well his value's massively depreciated since being with us. It sounds like they may not even be paying a loan fee and aren't paying his full wage... basically a free player for half a season? No brainer for them.
He's putting himself in the shop window, if he plays well for the remainder of the season someone else may come in for him. I think its a win/win gets his wages off of our books and allows other clubs to see him in a league he has been successful in previously.
I'm delighted we're getting him out don't get me wrong, even if it is just a loan deal for the moment. I'm just sceptical about Lyon's long term intentions for him. Just cannot see them paying £55m for him - wouldn't blame them either. But yeah, if he does well and they don't take up the buy option it should hopefully convince someone else to nab him.
James Olley claims we've had a bid for Djed Spence rejected Given if we did sign him this window we can't play him until next season, surely making an offer later in the season makes sense...which guarantees they'll be coming up via the playoffs, doesn't it?
Putting what we paid in the contract as an option price is just PR. Putting in that price, is an unbelievable attempt to sidestep the painful truth - that there were precious few takers for a loan, without a fee, with no obligation, where we're paying a significant part of the wages of our most expensive signing. If we put a realistic price in there, the press would go mad.
People at the Look At Me, Daddy ****espout protest (so, two of the five people who showed up) claim that Dele and Tanganga were seen leaving early Of course, they might be coming back with water cannons due to club policy on people who have sexual relations with farm animals - as the party on the receiving end
Lampard only officially announced in the last few hours, yet he could end the day with two big signings. Fair play to Everton, they buy flops but lots of it
