Liam Moore is the centre back apparently.

I suppose we'd have a better chance of getting the right long term manager in when the season's finished? Difficult to prise them away now as presumably they're doing a good job and want to see it out.

Liam Moore was on his way to Wycombe for 500k apparently. Was Reading captain until a few weeks ago.

Could be that we have gazumped them.

Yeah, I can understand it if the preferred target isn't available right now. But it seems to me it would have been better to have kept Johnson on until the end of the season if that was the case. Or at least for the temp to be someone who would be a more natural fit for the set up. As much as I have a lot of time for Mick, I don't see him as being that man.

I have always liked Moore when I've seen him but Reading fans seem to hate him

I can see your point, but sacking him is the best option if its becoming very destructive and toxic behind the scenes. Then a temporary appointment makes sense, especially if your preferred choices aren't available yet.

Them two in a back four, or with Doyle in a back three would be very good.

It's going to be interesting to see who we interview for it, I suspect you're thinking on the right lines with the names you've put forward.

I reckon Mick would do a solid job and take us up but he's only being mentioned because of interest on his side, we probably aren't looking. Same as Ferguson only substance to that seems to be some troll account on Twitter or whatever.

He's a lot better as part of a back three than he is in a four.

I think he would thrive in a holding midfielder role.

This is true, of course. I'm still not convinced McCarthy fits, even on a temporary basis, though.

  18. Yes,I'd agree, but I don't think he's anywhere near the finished article even for this league. I wonder if the terms of his loan demand he plays every game.....just wondering, because I think he's lacking in a number of areas of his game, and,I know it's not popular, but I see him as a weakness.

I do think he needs a break. I does make you wonder what the terms of his loan deal are.
