They've also only just started at their respective clubs and therefore may be principled enough not to want to jump ship so quickly after being given their opportunities regardless of how tempted they may be.

In Manning's case, I'm not sure MK Dons would let us even speak to him - the compensation payment they'd want would be very high you'd have thought since promotion to the Championship, which they will believe is still very achievable with Manning at the helm, is worth £6m to them as a club.

    Defender should sign today.

Praying for a Midfielder (big strong lad). Fingers crossed.

Not a clue mate. I don’t even know if we’re in for one. I’m just hoping.

Unlikely. I think it's the Northampton left back

I can’t even take the credit for Defoe either. My mate knows one of the RR lads and gets stuff from him before it’s released.

I'd add Ryan Lowe to that. I like how Lowe and Manning's teams play but they've both just started new jobs in December
They fit the playing style but would be a big gamble

If they are after an experienced manager, I can see them maybe going after McCarthy until the end of the season

don't think wheatsheaf meant experienced as in old, just experienced as in has been a manager before. in comparison to Ferguson and Terry who haven't.
