I still think in the short term and thats where we are now, a back 3 is the answer and has been for a long time to get the best out of this squad.
They will be looking at a young fairly "new" manager. No way will it be from the old merry-go-round. Only manager from our past who might have a shot is Keane.

Seems like Johnson was threatened by him. Played at the highest level, showed little previews of being a good coach/man manager when he was here last time (coached maja and asoro off his own back by the video of them at the time), always come across a very calm level headed no nonsense bloke. I think if he had it tactics wise he could be a decent manager.

I do - love the bloke but it’s a sign we’ve failed elsewhere probably unless we get another in today. His movement nous and finishing will clearly add something but won’t cover an injured lone target man. That remains the job of AOB who isn’t up to it. Fingers crossed for more.
Totally agree with that. My concern is that he'll take a slice of the budget that could be better used elsewhere. Great player for us, obviously but this seems more like a PR move.
