The defence immediately looks much better, and with Clsrk and Hendrick hopefully naffing off to Boro, we have 2 less liabilities. My concern is goals, Wilson obvs won't be back for a while, Wood is decent (we haven't seen the best of him yet), but I know nothing about this new kid.
10 players on deadline day https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/foo...-eyes-attacking-trio/ar-AATjlDV?ocid=msedgntp
It looks a very different side... Depth in all areas.. Maybe a top cb another top cm and a top striker away from a top half side already
Don't underestimate the impact this Bruno could have, mate. He'll transition us and all of a sudden Willock and the forwards will be getting in amongst it. Not all just about the guys up top.
I have high hopes for Bruno, definitely. If Willock can get back to scoring then great, but I'm still hoping for us to snap up Lingard.
I think we're pretty much done. My real concern is CB - obviously we went for Botman and Carlos, both left sided, but ended up with Dan Burn. I don't then think we're going to get one of the big names. I'm worried that we then expect to do well with Lascelles and Burn. That seems ****ing mental to me. Midfield is taken care of with Bruno, CF is now sorted with Wood/Ekitike, LB is done with Matt Targett (again, quite underwhelmed with this one). The only thing was Lingard, so a right sided attacker seems of interest (Dembele was obviously mooted but never going to happen). So the only surprise could be someone there, Carrasco has been mentioned (and is a SUPERB player) though I'd love to be wrong on CB and see us sign a decent player to replace Lascelles.
Brighton been very good defensively this season, so I'm happy with Burn, and with Feds and Schar, we have cover there even if Howe sticks with Lascelles (likely). I think Bruno will help a lot with the defence though, as he looks like something of a beast.
All relative, mate - all I mean is I am concerned Howe still sees something in Lascelles that nobody else in the world can.
Don't underestimate how difficult our position still is. We are still in the bottom three, other teams have improved too and we need time for new signings to gel. Even with these signings I will be very happy to finish the season in 17th place!
2 small planes just about to land a NCL one from Oxford the other from an unknown location, tracked from near London.
This transfer window is mental! The last couple of windows we’ve been scratching to get Choudry on loan.
