Would that be the case though? If someone shot somebody live on TV the evidence would still be in the public domain but you would expect that a prosecution would still follow.

As a 54 year old father to a 16yr daughter and 9yr old lad I'm genuinely terrified for her when she goes to Uni. This generation of scumbag lads is incomprehensible to me. That will automatically be the defense's first option, but its not enough to prevent a prosecution. Footballers being arrested and accused of **** is common place, but here we have photos and soundbites, so regardless of the outcome of this case, his reputation and career is down the ****ter.

With what though will probably depend upon what if anything the “partner” has said to the Police. The pictures and the audio (at least from what I’ve seen and heard) don’t prove any offence of any severity as having been committed by MG not by themselves. Should clarify that if he has committed either rape or sexual assault I hope she has the courage to see it through and he gets sent to prison. Just that if that is all the Police have by way of evidence then they do need her to make a statement to be able to look at prosecuting MG with any serious offence.

I saw the photos and heard the audio this morning from this post. Pretty sickening. I don't have a daughter but if I did I wouldn't be able to control myself if I could get near that animal. Prosecution - nailed on I'd say - or no prosecution, I think his football career is over. There's some proper ****s out there. My daughter and her mate went out for a drink around Newcastle a few days ago and someone drugged her mate using a hypodermic syringe. She ended up in a right state. She punched my daughter in the face and kicked a bouncer in the head when they were trying to help her. They eventually got back to their hotel. When she came around in the morning she found the puncture mark. We've told her to go to hospital and get checked out. Who knows how many people had been jabbed with the syringe before her.

He's in magistrates court on Monday being charged with attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault resulting in ABH. Has been arrested after breaching bail conditions. All 3 charges are related to same complainant.
