Indeed. 10 City players involved in the build up. You don't see such passing very often at the kc.

Tbh I get that, but I'm sure with a more pleasant atmosphere around the club these days, and a more transparent owner, the crowds will swell again .. even the rich buggers who can afford the corporate seats !

Hopefully you're right. I know a few in there that followed us when we were at fer ark, but they're very much a minority, and the others can be very fickle.

Hopefully, they'll drift back if it becomes 'trendy' to follow rather than sneer again.

Must say I never thought there would suddenly be 10,000 more in the ground the moment the Allams left, and thought the uplift in crowd yesterday was a good start, and even better was the sense of unity in the crowd even if sadly some on here still seem determined to carry on old battles. The relationship with the club has been fractured for many for 6-7 years, other habits formed, people lazy about finding out how to get a ticket, etc etc. Think you'll find if you look back to this time of year in the 2008 promo season we were getting about 14,000? I think Acun's challenge is not just to bring back the lapsed users but bring in new ones, and I'm confident he'll have the ingenuity to achieve that. Be good if those of us who've been there before can contribute ideas.
Most pleasing for me as someone who's never stopped going was the the opportunity for the returnees to see the character and ability of this team that Grant McCann built, and really good to see Arveladze recognising that too. Class.

We're in a higher division than when it was first full.

Very comfortable to face, unless of course you're wanting to be negative.

As long as you conveniently ignore the bit about 'trendy' I guess.

How good is this goal? 17 touches - every player touched the ball before Eeeeeaaaaavvvvesssss slots it home.

    It’s genuinely a thing of beauty…:emoticon-0115-inlov

Utter Utter class. I said to my son at the time I wonder how many players touched the ball before Eaves tucked it away.

That's "possession football" not the turgid poor man's Arsenal stuff Swansea were doing!

Yesterday was majestic, we tired a bit in the 2nd half but on the whole it was fantastic. No major tweaks but the minor ones made such a difference.

Fleming was fantastic, I know he's had injuries but in recent weeks it's odd that we've been putting wingers there when we had him as an option. He really gave the left side balance and a bit more defensive solidity.

Have to say that it was Bernard's best game in a City shirt by a mile. First half especially, he looked like a Rolls Royce. He benefitted from us not playing out from the back as much, it felt like it's all we did under Grant and Shota allowed him to be aggressive which suits him.

Hoping for a productive day tomorrow as we need the depth but it should be a good end to the year

He simplified his passes out from the back a lot more, little 1 2s with Longman to break the press. McLoughlin is just utter class though genuinely believe he gets into nearly every side in the division

I thought so too, apart from the silly challenge which resulted in a free kick and them hitting the post, he was excellent.

Maybe the release of pressure playing out has come from discovering a target man that holds the ball instead of it coming straight back....

    2007-2008 season league games:
    Average attendance 18,024.
    Average up to 31st Jan 2008 17100
    High of 21,252
Low of 14,822 (Tuesday night in January, didn't Coventry bring about 10 that night).
The Saturday game before and the Saturday after that one there was just over 18,400 for each game, pretty much bang on the average for that season.
