Targett's agent is in Newcastle apparently, helping get the deal sorted. Targett is expected to travel for a medical tomorrow morning. Know little about him, seems unexciting compared with recent links, but he did win Aston Villa's Players' Player of the Year award last season, so maybe not too bad.
I wanted us to sign him before he goes to Villa. I've not paid much attention to them this season mind you so do t know how he's been getting on recently.
Must admit after seeing who Bakker's agent is I no longer want him. Don't want Mono Raiola anywhere near our club - can see where the mental Ballotelli rumours came from now.
I feel like if we got a striker and CB of the quality of Trippier and Bruno we'd guarantee safety, but Wood and Burn are obviously no where near that level, still a pretty good window but a class striker and defender would have sealed the deal, we still have a chance of going down if this is it.
I would've taken Alex Grimaldo over all of the (LB's) we've been linked so far, but seems rumour is dead..
In the end in just relieved we got Trippier and Bruno. The other two are just sqaud players better than the sqaud players we've got
It is still a good window, we have a far better chance of survival now and i'm loving us just being ran like an actual football club again, but a great window would have seen us deffo safe. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
