Prehab said things weren't right behind the scenes for a while.

Some said he wasn't on the team bus there or back from Bolton.

Players knew it was coming imo

Could KLD give JD an "until the end of the season stint" or is that too much bottle? Would play attack minded football methinks. Probably a massive long shot.

Good old Sunderland, the 3rd division equivalent of Watford when it comes to sacking managers. And you wonder why you don’t progress…. Enjoy another year in the wilderness,

Doesn't fit the football the club want.

Edit: and that's without considering if he would leave his current job for us!

The next appointment will tell us if KLD is in charge and means business.
Another non entity and it will show it’s the same broom with a different handle.

Fair play mate, but I am not im agreement. I thinknwe have overrated the squad and the balance. LJ was not perfect, but if as a professional you lose 6-0 you should be embarrassed. Even a crap coach with crap tactics cant produce a 6-0 defeat without a huge helping hand from the lads on the pitch. I wont moan he has gone even though I liked him, coaches pay the price always. Just think this squad needs some changes if they make top 2. Or a coach that has supreme talents.

Always the easy bit. Getting a better one is usually harder, and will be made even harder with the time managers get here.

Genuinely hoped he would be a success here but 6-0 was the final straw after too many tactical mistakes. Shows KLD isn’t afraid of making the big decisions and also he knows we have a really good chance of promotion this season even after yesterday.

Good luck to the bloke but we move on.

Now who the hell do we get in? I have absolutely nee idea

I see your knife is straight onto Johnson now he’s gone, saw very littke if any negativity towards him whilst in the hot seat.

KLD will have been looking since Rotherham away, perhaps even Portsmouth ...

... I'd expect a new man in next week.

I thought they might have waited until window closed simply due to work load related to in & out going players, expected it to be Tuesday.....no coming back from him after yesterday.....he's his own worst enemy, certain games yesterday & sheff wed for example it's obvious it's not working playing out from the back & you can see were going to ship goals....he's to stubborn to change....we ship a few....& Yet he continues.... definition of madness doing the same thing over & over yet expecting a different result.

Big move from club that had to be done, expect couple players in, manager to follow....plan remains the same & we move on....WE HAVE TO GO UP OR THIS YOUNG SIDE BREAKS UP....simple as that.....KTF

Agree 100% people saying it takes balls to make this decision etc. It only takes balls because you are admitting you made a big mistake. I appreciate Speakmam and KLD making a quick decision to correct their mistake. It is a much harder decision, that requires far bigger balla to get the next appointmeny right. I want to believe they will do it, time will tell. There are some really easy decisions that would please the fans out there, or there are some decisions that show a commitment to the so called 5 year plan and the sustainable approach touted. Fingers crossed we get it right. Whoever comes in has an easy run of fixtures to get the ball rolling
