I didn’t know all of this because honestly I didn’t really want to delve into this as it is so horrible Her telling him to go and sleep with someone else as well as his antics in Iceland (when I think he was with her?) had me wondering the usual “why hasn’t she left”. Sounds like she did. And yes I know some people are manipulated and gaslit into staying but I struggle with how that can happen every time. For example people are gaslit into believing they are ugly and no one would want them. But this girl was a model who likely receives hundred if not thousands of messages a week tell her the opposite. But of course I don’t know the whole story. Perhaps any such gaslighting was targeted at personality or whatever Horrible situation
Totally fair and proper. But if he did do what it looks like, he’s vile and deserves much worse than to go to the nick.
If they do go down, am I right in thinking that will end the longest run of a club being in the top flight, including the old First Division?
Having listened to the recording and seen the images it's hard to maintain my "innocent until proven guilty" beliefs.
Slightly odd statement from Harriet Robson’s father (the girl allegedly/seemingly abused by Greenwood).
Sounds like they don’t want to completely isolate the possible multi millionaire footballer from their lives completely (although the damage may have already been done in terms of him playing at the levels his talent suggested)
If that is true then he will get away with it (as she has to pursue the charges) and she will likely stay with him as well When you consider the recording and also what he was up to in Iceland whilst still with her then it all becomes quite incomprehensible really Potentially a proper expert manipulation job. She was even telling him to go and sleep with someone else in the clip. And their relationship is only at “it has not been good” status. It isn’t over? I am pretty sure if most of us on here did anything even close to what he has seemingly done (or what we know he did in Iceland) in the confines of a relationship we would be out on our ears Edit: Thinking a little more - I guess “relationship” doesn’t mean they were together. The word has two meanings. Would explain why it hasn’t been good if they split and haven’t been speaking Also what I didn’t appreciate is that he didn’t know this was going on. She has seemingly been suffering for a long time and not told her family about it. And yes that is an assumption (the duration) based on how she was prepared to record it and how resigned she was to what he was saying That statement from the father seems spectacularly ill advised
“it’s out there now it’s too late” That’s his big concern after seeing his daughter roughed up and sexually assaulted? What a ****ing weirdo.
It seems a lot worse than that. It almost sounds like he wants it buried. Almost as if he quite fancies the idea of his daughter being with a high profile football player making fortunes and this kind of thing might wreck it His statement is unfathomable beyond that Unless perhaps he is concerned about angry football fans harassing her. But that really doesn’t seem to be the gist of what he is saying Sounds like this goes nowhere. She refuses to press charges, it all gets dropped and we just have to hope things don’t get worse for her And as to her phone being hacked? I call BS.
The dad sounds like a total twat. There are many times things I’d be doing if my daughter was the victim in a high-profile set of rape and abuse allegations and giving interviews to the Daily Mail is not one of them. Crap statement.
It does seem a little bit "we told her to take it down, because it would have been much better to have got him to pay £250k to her to keep it quiet, than blow everything like this".
Or “it would have been much better for her to stick it out, marry him and then divorce him when he does it to her post wedding and take him for millions”
In fairness though, I'm taking one for the team here and looking on Mail Online. I don't actually see this on there. It may well be fake (I really hope it is).
Hmmm a couple of outlets have run it, but I think it's either not true, or for some reason it's been pulled by the Mail etc (possibly because of the police investigation?)
Nah Arsenal have the longest consecutive run having not been relegated in over 100 years compared to Everton's last one being in the 1950's. Everton have more total top flight seasons than any other club though. Think they've missed 4 since the formation of the league.
