I remain convinced that promotion isn’t as high on the KLD agenda as we would like. Certain a power struggle is going on with Donald and CM hoping for promotion to “cash in” on their % ownership. It’s kind of in KLD’s interest not to get promotion this year and buy them out for a lot less. It’s just my opinion and could be miles from the truth. Johnson certainly isn’t popular within the dressing room that’s for sure.
I like the discussions on here - less emotional more candid and I sit here saying not another change, we need stability etc. But there is a point when I think the fit doesn't work and I am afraid the straw that broke the camel's back was yesterday. That was totally indefensible, totally shambolic and an absolute embarrassment. Sadly not the first time this year. I would love someone to say I told you so at the end of the season when he has turned it around. All I care about is the club and getting out of this league. That form shown earlier is mid table at best and that's what really worries me - this result although the magnitude was) is not as unexpected if you look at that form. Something has to change and perhaps it is the manager
Yeah sorry just caught up. I’ve heard a few on here and other internet/ social media places say the same. But everything I hear from people who know people in the club have said the exact opposite. Guess I don’t know which is true. If he’s not liked by the players then I don’t actually care. I detest one of my bosses. But he’s excellent at his job and has undoubtedly got the best out of his team. However, if that filters into the games it’s a big problem
Just seen prefabs post about the players dislike of Johnston what is the cause of this and when did it happen.
Maybe they're waiting for the transfer window to slam shut before opening the managerial exit door. I can but hope.
Thanks for the info regarding the dressing room, and yes he can talk, but words are cheap. It's actions that count, l like Gooch but he has better players to choose from and never uses them. We are seeing a drop in form from players like Neil, Doyle, Flanagan which may back up what you are saying. Once he selects his team and formation he will rarely change it when thing are working, and his subs don't make much of an impact on the game. Can l change my vote please?
Previous bad runs we’ve had good reason. Key players out, new ones not settled etc. yesterday we had a good squad of players to pick from and options on the bench. The finger is starting to point at the players and the manager.
Tbh, this has been my line of thinking today. Get the deadline out the way with a manager in place then 11:01pm sack the twat
kind of my point, he is the type of player that you would expect have fall outs...so we have to wonder why this one wound him up to such an extent.
Surely when you get hammered 4 times in just over half a season the writing would be on the wall for ANY MANAGER. Our position in the league shouldn't blind anyone. Yes it looks ok but it's false. IE games in hand.
I was on the keep him side of the fence and I think I still would be if the defeats were by the odd goal but we have been battered several times. You can't be wanting promotion and getting an absolute hiding every few weeks. The final straw was reading the players don't like him of that is the case then may aswell go as his results aren't good enough to negate that. As another poster said some bosses are disliked but are very good at their job and are probably disliked because they are so good at their job and don't allow **** to go on, however it sound like he isn't liked because he is so arrogant. There is no working with that type of boss.
I wouldn't necessarily believe anything Scott Wilson says. He is less informed than the average poster on here
Mugged him right off. Maguire tries to say he wasn't aiming anything towards the fans and pointed over to the dugong pretty much saying "That's was him".
LJ probably told Maguire that turning up once every 5 or 6 games was not good enough and he was not in the plans. The truth hurts. I always wonder when people say the players don’t like the manager whether that’s a bad thing. Also how many don’t like him? People whinge about their boss. It’s just normal. It shouldn’t stop you giving all you’ve got. I am hoping that we now go on a 17 game winning streak.
