A striker for me I just don't see wood as the answer. I suppose lingard would score goals, max gets a few, but there's very few goals in this squad.
I think that a three of Lingard, Willock (in an advanced position) and ASM behind Wood would work well. There'd be opportunities.
I need to see better from wood.. He does a job but he needs it on an absolute plate to score. Wilson injury is a killer... Wood simply isn't as good.. Not being nasty about wood he does give us something we didn't have.
If PEA is signing for Barca they have to get Dembelle off the books - don't think Arsenal were even in the running for him so don't see a swap deal there. Reims chairman is almost touting out Ekitike and said NUFC were close to the number they were looking for but hadn't quite reached it. Sevilla chairman basically came out on Friday and said if we come back and offer what we did in the summer they would accept for Carlos. Lingard has had his betting suspended to join us. A left back must be coming in if its true we have been negotiating personal terms with Bakker and Rogerio. Don't see Burn covering this position. Barbosa must be preparing a move to England the amount of noises coming from his camp. I honestly think we're not done.
Oh my main point was that he wouldn't have to score. Goals would be a bonus. He gets the ball, holds it up, lays it off and creates space. Much more useful than Gayle for instance.
I just don't see enough players that take their chances right now.. Lingard takes more than what we've got,, but he hasn't signed yet.. Max misses more than he takes. If we don't I'm not going to complain, but for me a striker has to score goals and take a good % of their opportunities.

We do need a goalscorer. We do not have one. I'd happily loan one for now. We have done some amazing business so far. I'd also love another CB but I'm being a greedy git now!
Realistically with the 3 players we have signed this window we're twice the team we were saying as we've played most this year with just 3 players
Hopefully.... Arsenal fans saying nketiah is ****... I was hoping for zapata but looks like that's a non starter. It appears they'll loan maybe nketiah or Lingard, maybe bring in another cb and that'll be business done.
