I suspect they've burned their bridges with Lingard. If they do get him to sign a new deal, he will probably end up on a lot higher wages than he would have a week ago.

I’ve never understood why they go public before going to the police. Always works against them. But maybe you know they probably feel very insecure about being believed and think by getting it out in the open the perpetrator won’t be able to hide behind their money.
He won't be able to hide from supporters that's for sure - he will get utter dogs abuse everywhere he goes
People always say in this situ, I can’t understand it when they have all this money. It’s exactly that which is part of the problem in my opinion. Of course the vast majority don’t behave like this but you get bad humans, and if you give them something they think makes them invincible and above the law, which we all know obscene wealth can do, then you will see an increase in this behaviour. The base behaviour though is just rank regardless of wealth. I can see him getting sacked. Regardless who it is, I don’t think any club can shield that behaviour in this day and age.
Seriously though if we nail Carlos or Bremer, and Bruno in one window, it’ll be the best transfer window since windows were introduced. Not the Pilkington type (although not far behind )

Haha what he would lack in Brazilian flair he would definitely make up for in character, with him and trippier in our defence we won't have to worry about players not giving 100% for the shirt. In short I think he would be an ideal fit for us.
He’d be a great signing in all seriousness. I said all along I’d be happy with him and Tarkowski in the short term. I can’t really believe what’s happening with the likes of Bruno. Seems a bit surreal.
