So Tranmere get their biggest gate of the season, over 10k, only for them to be sawn off by FGR. Next season I expect PFC to.be felled by this excellently run club! I would love to be a supporter of that side.
Without even playing, PFC are mathematically closer to relegation than promotion. And Charlton, who are up next, have a good record at FP!!
Only scoring 1, is a big dip in form for Fulham! Mind you for a certain side not a million miles from Southampton, scoring oñe is a bucketful these days. Hope the supporter is recovering well.
I think the 40 minute hold up affected their momentum and allowed Blackpool to reappraise their set up, defending further forward and not inviting Fulham on to them. I didn’t see the second half, but towards the end of the first Blackpool were starting to cause a few problems for Fulham.
I wonder how long it will be before a bigger club comes in for the Blackpool manager, Critchley? He took over when Blackpool were languishing in the depths of League 1 and without spending a fortune, fashioned a good promotion winning team. Could suit West Ham if David Moyes were to leave.
Well done Billy Sharp on becoming the top scorer in the second tier since the rebrand to the championship Even better that it's David Nugent who he has now passed
The build up on Radio 5 suggested that a team that scored goals for fun playing a team that didn't concede goals would probablyend up at 0-0. Shame a match like this could not be shown on MofD. There used to be a football league show on Channel Five which always fascinated me as it wa possible to see teams who were usually just names on the Final Score a well as seeing some horro-show away kits. It is fascinating to see just how many unfamiliar, former non-league teams are now in Division Two having replaced some f the poorly run but historic football clubs from the North. Fascinating to see a team like Barrow back in this league because I think they originally dropped out when I was very small. I used to have a Barrow name strip for the scoreboard on my old Subutteo set.
Sunderland sack Lee Johnson for losing 6 - 0 to Bolton? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60192140
There were some seriously tired Canadian players by about the 75th minute. I'd imagine that, if the opposition was anyone other than the US, we'd have rested a few given that our depth was being stretched without Davies/Eustaquio. But hey, look, we won 2-0. Ho hum.
