This kind of performance just re-iterates to me that Defoe would be pointless. We need long term signings. Defoe would essentially be coming in for a playoff campaign now.

Fair point about the players in the correct positions (other than Gooch who should have been kept on the bus) but like you say tactics completely wrong and left it far too late.
I hope he explains why we are not continuing with the high pressing that has and does serve us so well? I assume that's the players fault for not doing it? Which if that is his excuse then he is just as much at fault for not bollocking them or subbing some of them.
I take your point, our fans are mint. But you couldn't be a manager if you thought like this. He won't give it a 2nd thought. Sure he'll be gutted about losing, but the fans won't come in to it.
Another reason I don’t want a sacking is because I’m sick of it. Lather rinse repeat. We keep sacking managers season after season and expect different results. It doesn’t work.
I don't want him sacking... but where do we go after another away humping. Bolton are 14th ffs and we've rolled over and let them steamroller us.
