Match Day Thread versus Doncaster

So here we are again with one of those games that every bookie and his dog expects us to win. Doncaster have lost 18 games out of 27 so far this season and are bottom of the league. But, they won the last one...........(cue JAWS music)

Is this the start of a run for them or was that a flash in the pan. Trouble is you never quite know with Argyle and they have managed to throw a few points away lately. If we are one up with two minutes to go I might just close my eyes and put my fingers in my ears. We should win this one and we can win this one. I'm going to say we will win it and be damned.

Doncaster have signed 6 players this month. Most significant are probably 20 yo Josh Martin, who's has first team experience at both MK Don's and in the Championship for his parent club Norwich and 19 yo old Mipo Odubeko who played 6 times on loan at Huddersfield from parent club West Ham.

 

Cooper. Grant, Gillesphey, Scarr, Wilson, Edwards, Broom, Houghton, Randell, Ennis, Jephcott.

Subs
Burton, Bolton, Hardie, Mayor, Garrick, Camara, Crichlow.

Strong team and subs bench.

Awful start for Argyle against long ball Doncaster playing with a strong wind at their backs. 1-0 after only 10 minutes.

Argyle belatedly getting going although mustn't get dragged into a long ball game against the wind.

Ennis feeds Jephcott for a close range tap in.

That's his strength which service he hasn't been getting until last 2 games.

 

Ennis is indecisive and fumbles a good chance at 40 mins.

 

If we can hold out until half time, Doncaster won't have benefit of the wind in the second half.

 

Another claim for a goal for Argyle turned down because ball wasn't over the line.

 

Frantic end to the half with Doncaster having several half chances but it ends 1-1.

 

Well we managed that anyway so all to play for.
