It's going around twitter that we have signed Chris Weale from Leicester. I have no idea why when we need a creative midfielder and a possible short term replacement for Martin Taylor!
There is nothing on the Official site. Or the FB page. I would be surprised seeing as we are looking to send Gilmartin out on loan
I don't believe it. But if the rumour proves true, I'll be close to reaching the end of my patience with Dyche.
I could see the point of Bond and RG were out and the new guy was better than loach! We have all criticised SL of late and maybe a rocket up the arse would help, the kick obviously didnt.
Looks like its a done deal, very odd bit of business. Gilmartin does need games though and Bond's run of games playing in the same league as Hemel doesn't get anywhere near equipping him to be a Championship no.2 goalie.
With Sean's liking for 'Manliness' I had expected a frontline of Chuck Norris and Ross Kemp up front on Saturday, so this has come as a bit of shock.
hmm, not sure. Maybe they're still looking for somewhere for him to go. This wouldn't be a great message for him then, would it!
Not sure how any of our keepers are going to feel, if I was Loach or Gilmartin I would be feeling fairly miffed, if Weale is made number 1 they will both have been snubbed twice over in the space of 6 weeks. There is no way a pairing as slow as Iwelumo and Beattie are going to play together so having 'grown' on Saturday is Big Chris going to be cut down to size by being immediately benched?
i have to admit, today has been a day of very confusing news. I don't understand these loans at all. You're right, it won't do anything for morale in goal, nor up front unless Beattie is going to sit on the bench, which i very much doubt. Hmm.
Interesting tweet from Scott Loach this morning. I wonder if this is about the rumour... Scottloach1 Let's see how interessting this week is! Have a good day tweeps.
Just seen this on Twitter: jonmarks72 Jon Marks Reporter in Leicester says one of Sven Goran Eriksson's last acts as Foxes boss was to sanction loan of keeper Chris Weale to #watfordfc The worrying thing of these loans is how they will effect the dressing room. By bringing in 'average' players, it sends a signal to the others that he doesn't really have confidence in the players already at his disposal. If Beattie walks straight into the team, that can't please the others! I'd prefer to make do what we have, and work harder on the training ground, on new tactics, new strategies, on simple plays! Get the players gelling and learning how to play with each other because chopping and changing, using non-Watford players, there will be no continuity within the team or squad! I'm not a Dyche-Out person... but am losing confidence in his decision-making abilities!
From the WFC Forums: Loach to go? I've heard that Loach has asked to leave the club. One of the main reasons for going is that he's had enough of all the abuse he's getting from his own fans. This is why he was dropped recently and Dyche wanted to see how Gilmartin would cope. Dyche didn't think Gilmartin was ready yet, so will bring in Chris Weale from Leicester, with a view to sign him, if/when Loach goes in January. Hopefully this clears up the apparent strange decision to bring in Weale on loan.If this is true, then those 'fans' who have been getting on his back should feel proud of themselves. Tw@ts.
I don't disagree with you Harrow, but while I think it's more than likely that Loach has asked to leave the club, I don't believe the reasons given at WFCforums. If that version of events were true, why on earth would he have stayed this summer?
I do not twitter, but have seen this. Rumours Loach on way out cos of house in Notts. Not the case RT @scottloach1: Guys its just a base 4 me and my family, not going anywhere. So that maybe it or not. Should we expect the club to comment on every rumour that does the rounds?
If he does go i would have a few choice words for those who have abused him. He has done nothing to warrant it and is a great guy and always acknowledges the crowd and their efforts. I make a conscious effort to go down to the front at the end of every game and thank him or commiserate him depending whether he has done well or not. I like to think that little things like that can make a big difference to the attitude of a player and as a result the confidence and ability. After all a happy player will play better than one under fire.
