Swansea City have improved in most areas under Russell Martin but there is a field where they are massively behind others. Much has been made of Swansea’s excellence in fields such as possession and pass completion, where they lead the Championship by some distance. On top of this there are only four teams who have scored more goals than Swansea from open play this season and only two have kept more clean sheets. The stats are seriously impressive in a number of areas but there’s one which stands out for all the wrong reasons. The Swans are rock bottom when it comes to scoring from set-pieces.
