  4. Tiote's will just be precautionary i imagine, probably just a knock he picked up from all the tackles he was on the end of vs Wigan.

    Bad news about Saylor though.

    Colo to play then.

What was the likelhood of Tiote playing anyway? I'd expect to see Smith & Gosling in the middle anyway on Wednesday even if Tiote was fit. Hopefully he's ok for Stoke on Monday though.

We really need Tiote for the Stoke game, hoping he is just being rested to keep him fresh for next Monday. Either way this could be our chance to see more of what Gosling can do, whether we see him against Blackburn, Stoke or both I'd like to see more of him.

EDITED, he is a doubt for Stoke as well. Time to see how we'll fare during the ACON...

Sounds like it will be Abeid vs Blackburn and possibly Stoke too. I hope so as he seems the most talented and best suited replacement.

Why do people fear Smith will play? Pardew's said Abeid is the front runner to cover Tiote. Smith was only on the bench to rotate the squad - Gosling was on it for the Spurs game and Guthrie was on it for the Wolves game.

  12. Stoke line up without Tiote if he is injured for the game?

I imagine we'd see Gosling before we see Guthrie again.

Abeid for Tiote, Marveaux for Obertan. Save Ben Arfa for a less physical game, I think we'd be better off going 4-4-2.

Don't mind too much as long as Tiote makes the trip to Stoke. We need him that game.

I'm more concerned about Saylor. Guthrie/Gosling/Abeid are adequate cover, Perch is not.
