  1. This lad looks really promising. I've seen him play a few games. Here's some highlights for him <ok> Good attacking player, good defensive work.

I'm loving the results at the moment, however Pardew needs to grow some balls and drop Simpson or Raylor.

He really is an attacking player isn't he.. awesome stuff. Looks to be no pushover in defense either.

I shuddered when I read the title of the article, I thought it was going to be another FIFA stats thread!

Had Becks in his pocket all night for Italy a couple of years ago but fell out of favour at Inter, needs game time. Will play tomorrow I think. Maybe after our lacklustre performance at the weekend Pardew will make the changes we all think he should make :-

    Santon for Simpson/Raylor
    Marveaux for Obertan
    HBA for Best

for Stoke game, think we'll know more when we see who he plays against Blackburn.

Tash, have you thought about getting into a film editting course or something similar as you obviously enjoy it and have some talent for it rather than sitting on your arse all day?

looks predominantly right footed to me. Him and Marv on the right would be awesome.

Also, 'directed by Kevin John' on the second vid? it's only a youtube clip, you're not Scorsese.

edit: to clarify tash didnt make the vid im complaining about

Editting in the second video is atrocious too. Looks like somebody bought their first copy of Premier Pro and got a little over excited.

I wouldn't have a clue how to do it so can't knock Tash for it, as I said he should look into doing a proper course in it.

<doh> sorry can't actually see them at work, I was just commenting on Santon. Tash does make his own videos, seems to enjoy doing it and has some talent for it, he should give it a go just so he gets off his arse if nothing else. <ok>

Haha, yep. Premier Pro and Vegas Pro are good programs for it. Vegas is often overlooked which is a shame because its interface is very user friendly and you can do a surprising amount of in depth video work with it, would recommend it to somebody over Premier Pro unless they're making a full documentary or something.

What i'd do is personally stick Santon at left back and replace Raylor with Obertan up top. I'd much rather have Raylor on the right flank on current form than Obertan. I think it's too early for HBA and Best has done alright, be unfair to drop him. When we play ManU, Chelsea and City I'd put Marveaux on instead of Best and play 5 in the middle.

I think Raylor may have found his position at full back.

I'd have him and Santon in the starting 11 every week (out of what we currently have).

I'm glad someone else appreciates Vegas. I have Adobe Premiere but I've always found that i end up using Vegas. Besides Premiere pumps out huge file sizes.

I attempted to use Windows Movie Maker 2.6 the other day for a short video, but i'll never do that again. I had to save after every action or it would crash.

Comparing Movie Maker to Vegas or Premier is like comparing Windows Photo Editor to Photoshop; totally worthless. It's just for old people to make slideshows with really.

Vegas is great though, I've used it for years and swear by it. I'm used to using Flash too so Vegas' keyframe style approach to the effects and cropping etc. is nice and familiar. I've never gotten the Xvid codec to work properly with Premier either whereas Vegas exports with it perfectly, giving full quality HD files at a fraction of the size of uncompressed.

  18. All the video's i make are with Windows Movie Maker, I'm just really good at it

I don't want to pay like 100 quid for Sony Vegas.

If you were ever considering doing some proper video editting at some point though, you would seriously benefit from using a program like Vegas Pro or Premier Pro.

Why does the first vid end with him being skinned by Hutton and then fouling him? Surely if you make a vid of a player, you only include the good stuff...
