Whats the excuse for pretty much every other thread involving you piskie n the other bloke who i cant remember
no sorry, but he is definately in the squad, as i showed earlier, lots of rumours on that starting line up, so its likely.
Not confirmed as of yet. Although the Metro have a story about it. http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/footba...r-arsenal-run-out-in-bolton-carling-cup-clash
Diaby is in full training yes, but could be a couple of weeks possibly, but maybe sooner, good to add more depth to the squad. he has kind of disapeared hasnt he?
Wenger has said about park that he is just taking time to settle, it took henry and pires 6 months to settle so we should wait. and he said about AOC He’s getting now, to a level where we want him to be and he has a good opportunity to show again that he wants to compete, now, for a place as a regular starter.
I think there's an expectation that players should slot straight into teams and be playing their best straight away - otherwise they are labelled a waste of money. But you're right to point out that Henry and Pires took at least 6 months to settle. And I seem to remember a certain Dennis Bergkamp taking a while to find his rhythm too.
To be fair, he said 'all being well, he should be available' - so whilst not quite ready, he must be almost there. The day Wenger comes into his press conference clutching a mug of Rosie and a Rothmans, will be the day that I worry about him.
Players i'd like to see get a game against Bolton: Miyaichi, Park, Miquel, Coqeulin, Chamakh Miyaichi and Park should both be given an opportunity to play - and it'll give us a glimpse of what they are capable of (Miyaichi i know is a talent as i watched him alto on loan last season but no idea on Park). Miquel and Coqeulin i think are two young players i'd like to see get some game time so we can judge if they are gonna be able to cut it or not (i'd ove it if Miquel turns out to be a quality CB). And Chamakh needs as much game time as we can afford him to try and regain some confidence and refind his form. He is a real hard worker and some of his attributes are ignored by those who shout him down. He can hold the ball up well, has decent link-up play, is great in the air, defends well at set pieces, his movement is also great (moving in behind the defence and also dropping deep and pulling CB's with him to make room for wide players to come inside). And with RVP as our main man we need to get one of our back-up striekrs into form incase the worst should happen and RVP is injured.
If chamakh can get a couple of goals, his confidence will rocket and hopefully we'll have the player that looked so good when he joined us. Miquel and Coquelin I reckon have got great Arsenal futures. Coquelin is really mobile and well suited to the prem, I think him and Frimpong are going to be battling for a DM berth in the future. Miquel is a great reader of the game, not that quick, but very skillful on the ball - I think his defending style suits a more technical attacking team.
I don't get why everyone is expecting Chamakh to become a goal machine if he gets one or two. He's hardly ever been a prolific scorer but then that's not what his game is about. He's (supposedly) about hard graft, holding up the ball and getting others into the game. Throw in a little aerial prowess and he added a dimension we didn't have really have before signing him. I agree he needs a boost to his self esteem right now but I can't see him being the answer to our forward concerns (ie if RVP gets injured).
