All I'm going to say is we can win this one but I am not going to go further. Over to you then...... COYG
Schumacher is waiting on the fitness of Hardie, Mayor and Houghton before he can select his squad to travel up to Fleetwood.
Cooper, Grant, Gillesphey, Scarr, Wilson, Edwards, Broom, Randell, Camara, Garrick, Jephcott. Subs Burton, Bolton, Ennis, Lewis, Law, Crichlow, Jenkins-Davies. No....Hardie, Mayor, Houghton available.
Gillesphy in for Crichlow is interesting. Crichlow was voted fans' Man of the Match. I can't say I thought that.
Scrappy game with Argyle playing what football there is. Broom puts Garrick away on the left of the box. Squares it, Jephcott out muscles the CB and smashes it into the roof of the net. Within minutes, Argyle aren't tight on the left hand edge of the box & Lane hits a 25 yard curler past Cooper. 1-1. Infuriating.
Poor game on an atrocious pitch with an erratic referee. Fleetwood are dropping deep so we can't play through the thirds and we're going nearly as long as they are. Garrick and Camara stand out but it's not a great watch.
It's there but it is the Dickins of a job to find it. The website looks great but it's too many pictures. You'd think there'd be a great big "WATCH HERE" link but there isn't.
After a better passage of play from Argyle, Grant crosses to Edwards who out jumps the defender to head home at the far post. 1-2.
All Fleetwood at the moment. Argyle defending stoutly but you can't us holding out for 25 minutes. With Fleetwood pushing up,a quick break would be on but hard on this "pitch".
A revived Argyle get a third and the best. Randell to Garrick, guides it to Ennis who passes it neatly into the corner.
Well another curate's egg if a performance. Should have seen this out but after a really good spell, Argyle fell back under a Fleetwood onslaught and conceded two late goals. The last goal and the end of the game summed the ref up. The final goal was almost certainly won via a foul on Cooper. Usually refs give a foul for the slightest brush on a keeper at a corner: this one gave nothing when Cooper appeared to be flattened. Then, at the very end, Argyle win a free kick in a useful position. Now 99.9% of refs allow the last attack of the game to complete. This one stood and watched the ball being placed, defenders withdrawing 10 yards.. and then blew for time before the kick was taken. This wasn't a good performance by normal standards but given the disgraceful state of the pitch and the eccentric referee, I'll take an away point.
