Radio play tonight at 9 pm stars Toby Jones as a newly elected Prime Minister who, whenever he tells a lie a part of his body falls off. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental. On Radio 4.

Well that was a waste of at least 4 minutes of my life - I thought we’re train spotters not plane spotters <laugh>

An entire channel based on commentary on aeroplanes landing :emoticon-0126-nerd:

Intriguing in terrible weather, but I wonder how they would react if one of these wobbly landings ends in a disaster?
    An awkward scenario methinks...
Note the power of the wind making that plane judder like it's made of tin foil.

    What has become of YooTube?
I had to watch two ads before viewing that clip, and had to ignore a pop-up asking me to join their pay-service (no option to decline).

Watched the curling final start to finish, tough luck boys, well played, the Swedes were just too good. Hope the Charlton game's half as exciting.

    I watched the curling too.

The rules are beyond me though.
We were 4-3 down with 8 ends played.
We had the last stone in the 9th end and the circle (house?) was empty.
We deliberately missed the circle, when all we apparently had to do was get our stone into the circle to gain a point and make it 4-4.

    Why?

    Bleedin' annoying BBC Watch:

TOTP (1992) on BBC 4 on Friday evenings.
For some unknown reason they are skipping episodes.
    Tonight we got 4th & 18th June 1992.
what happened to the episode inbetween? Surely the pervert DJ presenters were all gone by the 1990's weren't they?

So what! I year you cry <doh>

What the Beeb used to do with hit tunes on TOTP is play them on the show every other week.
So if episodes are skipped (like this evening), effectively you get two shows with pretty much all the same songs on them.

Scrap the licence fee right now!! :emoticon-0121-angry

Russia Today is off the air in the UK

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-60584092

    Not before time <applause>
RT said "the facade of free press in Europe has finally crumbled" <laugh><laugh><laugh>

I hear it's an EU ban that covers the UK as well - for the second time in days I must say Well done the EU <ok>

Excellent Panorama tonight detailing Abramovich's criminality and corruption aided and abetted by the Russian government.
Billions of taxpayers money stolen.....Really well researched journalism.

    <diva> Showbiz Showbiz <diva>

Just seen a movie star on the telly say she'd like President Zelensky to appear in a live video link during the Oscars...
    <doh> I kid you not <wah>

Just when you think these Luvvies cannot become more self-absorbed, they prove you wrong yet again.
I'm guessing the President of Ukraine has more important things on his current schedule than giving the Academy Awards a wave, just to boost their flagging ratings and massage their gushing egos.
    For f**k sake.

I watched The Power of the Dog a couple of weeks ago, but must have missed something, because I can't see what all the fuss is about. The Mrs thought it was brilliant though, funny how women like films which feature gay relationships and explicit gay sex between men. If it was between women maybe a different story.
