Was there that day. Incredible game. I went on a 2 day bender afterwards. It was actually March '85. I could have sworn it was earlier in the season...
As someone alluded to earlier, if you score a header from a free kick or corner, they often collide with a defender in doing so (might even happen a majority of the time). Point is though how many of those are ruled out for fouling the defender? And most of those are hefty collisions when the impact that Silva received from Kane's touch seems to have broken the laws of physics. And of course VAR doesn't intervene when it's "not a clear and obvious error". Except of course when it does.
In recent weeks Chelsea have dropped points against Brighton (twice), Wolves, Everton and needed a last minute winner against Leeds so I don't think it's too much to expect us to have given them a game. Mentality midgets
Wages budget is huge compared to Spurs. Let’s not get confused here and pretend Chelsea don’t spend a serious amount of money. They might sell players for big money but they bought those players with Uncle Roman’s dirty money in the first place
Say what you like about the performance, they didn't score in the first half and we did*. Teams win having played worse than the opposition all the time, it's the reason we don't hand out the points before the match starts. If we go into the second half winning then the game is different, maybe we still lose but it's not a certainty. Playing these teams is hard enough without starting at minus one goals. * I say again, far more barging and colliding goes on at every corner and set piece into the box. If Kane fouled Silva with that amount of "force" then nobody could ever score at a set piece as the attacker (except on the rare occasions it's a free header) could never score without fouling anyone. Basically if Kane fouled Silva then Silva fouled someone when he scored. And was it even a foul leading up to their second goal?
Yes. And your point is? Your squad still cost more than twice ours. We now have similar revenues so I would expect our net spend to overtake yours but it will still take some time to get level.
Chelsky 2 : electric boogaloo. Founded in the 2017-18 season with a zero bank balance + 15 years of chronic above the board non-investment from the then owners.
Because of your bent youth system, which has broken rules left, right and centre, yet never significantly punished. Your wage bill is about £100m more than us every season, too.
Silva pushes Davies in the back and it wasn't a foul for the free-kick. Dier didn't touch Hudson-Odoi (I think it was him). Total dive.
Wow, that’s a ****up and a half. Hearing that Spurs fans were heard chanting rent boy throughout the game. Football fans really don’t help themselves do they
I’m surprised there hasn’t been more about this on mainstream and social media. It’s a poor choice of phrase at the very least, given the history.
