Also Crooks - "It gives me no pleasure watching a club of Everton's stature going through such turmoil. They've been through difficult times before but I can't help but feel some sympathy for the new owner Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright."

That's new owner Moshiri, who has been there for two years.

I don't get the feeling sorry for Everton for throwing money around acting as if they are a big deal, and yet having **** all strategy and it back firing on them. So they are not doing great in the league...they're in no real danger of going down, and why does that mean anyone should feel sorry for them anyway? Weird.

Every time I see the way Adams concedes that
FF is a lot of things but your comment about him not being good at penalties didn’t seem right with me, so I did a check.
Over his career, and not including this season, he has faced 43 penalties and saved 16 which is quite a decent return, for what should be a no hope situation.
Granted the majority of saves were in Scotland but then he wouldn’t have been facing the same level of quality players taking the penalties, as he would in the Premier League.

I should have said not CURRENTLY good at pens, that is a good record previously
Stats say 15 of his Pen saves were for Celtic so ... insert your own reason here, I don't want to offend anyone

My concern is that they always see him move before striking it and go the other way, so its not that he doesn't save any so much as that the ball always goes to the other side, so he will never save any

I have said for a while that they should analyse his technique as he think he is always giving an early sign where he will go, but you would think they would do that
Im sure only high quality pen takers are able to do that

Sky "Ref watch". Dermot says Stuart Armstrong's challenge on Laporte was a yellow card not a red, basically because there was no intent. Other pundits agreed.
    Fair enough. Keith Hackett disagrees.

I don't think that's right. The Etihad has always been the biggest pitch in the prem since they started playing there.

Another interesting fact, I believe it's still true. The Etihad has the biggest camber on a pitch at 18cm's high in the middle. St Mary's is the flattest.

Worth mentioning that City couldn’t beat us, this season, on their own BIG pitch, which just emphasises Laporte’s excuse for Saturday’s result is poor.

Odd I was just doing the same bit of research. Saints pitch in 2012 - 13 was 115 X 74.5 yards. The Etihad was 116.5 X 78 yards

As you say it's like he is just a parody. Is it all just to cause controversy and more clicks or does he actually believe the utter bollocks that he spouts.

Any proper fan of an underdog like ourselves gets great pleasure from seeing a club of 'Everton's stature' going through turmoil

ManU are quite a laugh at the moment too, Spurs losing to Chelsea 3 times in 3 weeks is hilarious, Newcastle are the car crash that just keeps on giving
Sport is a competition not some god-given priveledge to the few
Nothing personal though as I've met many Geordies and proper local Mancs I got on fine with

... and Man City are a phenomenal team to watch, they must be even better when they win, I wouldn't know I haven't seen that happen recently <laugh>
