The thing is hotels are really boring aren't they? They can look amazing, but really you just end up bored out your brain.. Or I do anyway...
He looks right for this league doesn't he? I mean you just never know if they'll cut it, but he does look a player. Big, strong, skillful and scores goals. Is he quick?
Just reading they're still after upto 5 additions in what remains of the transfer window. Carlos Bakker Lingard/delli Alli Zapata ?
Newcastle's hopes of signing Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata have been boosted by the Serie A side's willingness to loan out the 30-year-old Colombia international for around £8m. (Mirror via HITC)
Zapata has always been a decent forward. Dream signing would be Darwin Nunez. Left back being sorted for reasonably low cost is great - wonder if Bakker was top choice, or whether Gosens was preferred but knocked us back? If Alli or Lingard are targets, what does that mean for the formation? Would they just play in Fraser's position? Neither play deep and Joelinton is better than either (on current form). Straight competition for Joe and Joe? A more combative, strong CM would still be my preference, and one if not two CB's. Though I'd 100% be selling Lascelles. Even Clark looked half decent when that idiot wasn't playing. If Henderson is available, then do it. Dubravka will want to leave, though, he's not going to be second choice. He's been ok, though, I don't think we need to desperately ship him out. Still needed - LB, CB, CM, CB, RM, CF, in that order of priority.
Dubravka was back to his best on Saturday. Not sure why fans were so quick to turn on a player that's literally kept the club up for 2 years.
He does have a regular error in him, but I am not so much keen to replace him as I am to have a reliable back up. We need proper competition for his spot and we don't currently have that.
All keepers have that in them because if they make a slight error it results in a goal. He has a weakness and it's his ability to pass out from the back.. If Howe wants to go that way he will need replacing, but like you say right now it's really not a priority.
We'd have some depth up top and imo it's goals that keep you up. If max gets injured?? Having max lingard almiron and fraser should be enough for attacking mids and if we have Wilson Zapata and wood to use as strikers then all of a sudden we're covered for injuries which right now we simply aren't.
It does make us look like a proper football team with options in each position. Just need to do the same for the rest of the positions
Nufc is heading for the big time mate there's no doubt about it. Let's enjoy the struggle and the journey
