I think there are rules about needing to be vaccinated to spectate, which means the crowds are smaller than they otherwise would be (especially when you add the difficulties generally in traveling internationally at the moment).
It's Gym based Mark but it is a positive for us as well as he continues to get fitter. How they expect him to play when he has had no contact training i.e. tackles, I don't understand. He has to build up muscle strength to withstand physical challenges. Here is a link to another article: https://www.sowetanlive.co.za/sport...say-sarr-may-play-after-positive-injury-news/
Quite - going by the lack of goals so far I guess the defenders aren't afraid to put a tackle in or two to stop attackers. The last thing we need is Sarr getting another injury. And you are right - if this was England we'd be asking why are we risking someone who hasn't kicked a ball in anger for 2 months! Bare in mind Senegal have World cup play games in March - they'd want him for those.
I think that, with four points, they're already safely through to the next stage - the bottom two being on zero means the pressure is on both of them.
Another goalless draw for Senegal. Maybe missing that creativity Sarr would bring hence them being so keen to have him fit. Mind you still finished top of their group.
William Troost-Ekong was the Man of the Match in Nigeria's win against Guinea-Bissau! 85% pass accuracy 51 touches 46 passes 2 clearances 1 interception 1 goal
The pass accuracy stat is a load of nonsense - it assumes that he knows where he is trying to kick the ball to, when the truth is that he's aimlessly hoofing it anywhere...
Morocco play Malawi in the last 16 then face the winner of Ivory Coast/Egypt so our lads might be back soon.
Well Nigeria are out! WTE on the way home. Bad mistake by the Nigerian keeper apparently.. The one we’ve signed for next year .
