I agree, I prefer Burke anyway, but that's beside the point. The 19/20 squad from the 2nd January needed to get 11 points to stay up. I don't think at that point anyone would have expected that squad to have got less, but we did. That's my point, you can never say job done in January, so much can go wrong. We have a carefully balanced squad that needs helping in the right direction.
Burke over Bernard any day for me. Bernard’s a young talent but he overcommits a lot and is quite erratic. With a defence as young and inexperienced as ours at this level, Burke would always be the more stable option in that back three over Bernard.
Re Mccann "one swallow does not make a summer". as Aristctle first said (at least reportledly). And In this case 2 wins does not mean that Grant will or should keep his job. Lets face it Bournemouth could have had a hat full in the first half. I will grant (pun intended) that Grants team kept it down with a batttling display but on another day the game could have been out of sight. We will see what the coming week brings.
I wasn’t a massive Burke fan and wasn’t overly bothered about him going, he’s started less than half of Luton’s games this season and I noticed he was sent off yesterday.
My knowledge of Turkish journos is very poor, something I will have to research into. But the guy has 500K followers on Instagram, so looks to be a decent source.
It’s a tough one. Shota seems to be really highly rated in Turkey and of course a friend of Acun’s so does he just let him wait and risk losing him? Galatasaray are after a manager now after all.
I will be honest, I cannot stand McCann and I wanted him dismissed following relegation. He got us back into the Championship and I still wanted him gone. This year he has managed to assemble a decent squad with his hands tied behind his back because of the transfer embargo. He has got us into a decent position, playing good football and getting improved results. If he has been sacked, this is a ****'s way of sacking him.
Not really, ht2 reckoned his departure was agreed weeks ago. Although the slater signing is strange, why sign one of Terry’s targets then sack him
I don't think it is a ****'s way of sacking him he would have known for a little while if and what changes where going to happen and before the last few games. At the end of the day everyone wanted a new owner and everyone has to trust the new owner has a clue what he is doing he had a plan and looks like he wants to stick to it, the new players would have been discussed weeks and weeks ago with the new manager if there is to be one so we must just trust which way he wants to go with this.
IF this is coming from Burnsey, then I'd have thought it is genuine. Notice the capital IF? On twitter.
