We’ll probably get Traore, lucky us! Then - of course - Spurs will really ‘try’ for more but it was just too late in the window. Same **** different season, mate.
At least it gets this game out the way and not to much damage done, arsenal and West Ham drop points.
Apparently 1 win in 37 tries at Stamford Bridge. Do we have a worser record elsewhere? Shocking that.
No point even trying to dissect this match we always lose however strong a team we are. Ok with one exception over about 30 odd years. Just write it off and move on that’s what I’m going to do!
**** across the board really. I think we all looked at the selection with disheartenment and disappointment and it duly delivered with everyone just being “meh”, bar maybe Bergwijn who was bright when he did get the ball, albeit that was a rarity. We painfully lack creativity and it says it all that our supposed creative players can’t make the squad, not that they’d have made a difference, mind. The only consolation is that results elsewhere meant this loss - which felt inevitable - didn’t massively harm us. Hopefully it throws a rocket in the hierarchy’s direction to get some stuff done, get the ****ters out and show some damn ambition.
It cannot be denied that Chelsea deserved to win, they have better players and played better than we did. However Tierney might as well have worn a Blue Shirt gave us nothing and disallowed a perfectly good goal. Ziyech goal was a thing of beauty, but how often do they score those screamers against us could easily have gone the other side of the post but not with their luck in this fixture.
2-0 FT. Absolutely awful. Poor team selection and tactics, rubbish performance and bent officials. Conte should hold his hands up on this one, but I expect he won't. Got it all wrong today. Our win percentage with Paul Tierney as a ref in the league is now below 8%. We've failed to win in the last 12 matches and have lost 5 of the last 6. He's clearly Kieran's dad, so someone should punch him in the face so we never get him again.
Well that is the Italian method for ya. Said on page 1 that today could be treated as a one-off game and go rabid on them, and you may still lose but not badly and with some pride.
I think that's why Tierney disallowed the goal. If he hadn't he would have to have sent off Silva and he didn't have the balls for that
Love the optimism mate but can’t see anyone except Adama Traore being signed this window. Shame really as finishing back in the top 4 won’t be easier than this season
He also failed to notice Silva pushing Davies in the back when he scored. Do I think it was a foul? Well, compared to what he gave it certainly was.

I take heart from the fight that Conte has instilled into the team. We lost to the better team even though they use every underhand trick in the book. Conte given the chance will make us competitive but he needs to be backed. Dier and Kane stood up and were counted.
