Sarr just kicked Bergwijn off the ball. VAR won't look at it. 0-0 HT. Poor performance. Poor game. Poor officials. Tanganga should be replaced at the break by a midfielder.
Poor performance so far but expected with that XI. Should be 1-0 up though, terrible decision from the ref. Tanganga really needs to come, one foul, even minor, and he’s getting a second yellow.
I think we are competing which we failed to do in the cup games so I don't see us having had a bad first half at all. We have come close and have scored so we should be 1 up. Keep it up and we will get something.
The performance has been disjointed but you cannot fault the work rate and concentration which have been top rate considering the line up we started with. It is also so refreshing to see players actually talking to each other and keeping communication open. On paper this looks like a team of strangers but in practice they are doing everything in their power to mitigate that.
Be nice if there was someone who was pro spurs on sky sports! Makes me remember why I generally don’t bother listening to the **** they chat at half time
Oh I see. Well he would he will always sit on the fence in this game. It was never a foul but VAR would never overturn it
It seems that any physical contact between two players vying for a 50/50 ball will be called as a foul in favour of the player who comes off worse. In the modern game, these are always given as fouls, but common sense says that they shouldn’t be. Often the defender just leans into the forward or checks his run, waiting for the contact and to go to ground. Touch football will be very boring because it will be just be a succession of fouls.
