Wel got away with one. Palace decided to actually play football after 15 minutes of us dominating the ball because they sat on their own area and then dominated against us. Their own fault for missing **** tonne of chances. Might close the gap on City but we aren’t catching them if we play like that
The issue for me is there's 20 yards between the cbs and all the midfielder lash forward and it's either offside or you are through on goal. We could.pull the cbs tight and put two cms in front but we just keep on making the same errors.
Strange game. The first 35 minutes were as good as I've seen us play for a while, then it all went horrible. Never a pen imo, but we'd still have won. Just.
Best thing about the game, is that we've got through January ok and get the Africans back soon I hope.
The only way that game could have been more of a smash and grab from our standpoint was if our away kit was a black and white stripey top and mask. Never a penalty and it is embarrassing that we need it to beat Palace. They played well, but we should never have let them back into the game. City would have closed the game off and probably scored another couple on the break. Now have yet another international break to give the opportunity for a few of our first team to get injured.
