Shaking hands with players etc is fine but not milking in the adulation of fans for a mid season win at home, it send a really poor message in my opinion about what our aspirations are.
If we win league this season don’t put it past Johnson to have the bunting out!
I prefer Keanes way of doing things, he wasn’t there for pats on back from fans but to do a job which he did with minimum of fuss.

That doesnt stack up in my opinion. What about the whole budget, not just transfer fees. You cant tell me Shinnie has just gone to Wigan for a pittance. I would 'guess' he is one of the best paid players in league 1. We know Wyke got big wages to go there. I would be surprised if Wigans outlay on their first team squad this season is not at least close to ours, maybe even bigger.

The people who constantly moan are the same ones who will moan when we do finally get to the championship ... and the same ones who will moan if we ever do get back the the PL....i've no idea why they actually get invested in football .

I wish people could just be honest and say
"I don't like Lee Johnson because...
    a) I don't understand what he says in interviews
    b) he's southern
    c) he's short
    d) I don't like his trainers
    e) it offends me that he doesn't invest in a bottle of Just For Men" *
    *delete as applicable.
rather than trying to pick holes in his tactical approach (when really Flanagan's been too slow to move his feet to cut out a pass) or make out he's an egomaniac just because he's behaved like he's pleased when we've won a game.

Can you please explain what makes you a “realist “? If we get promotion, what will your name be then? As your “realist” = “pessimist”, if something positive happens then that pisses on your chips and means you are not a “realist” and simply a pessimist

There were even some bellends on Twitter having a go at him for wearing a Canada Goose jacket. I know they cost a few bob but is that really a reason to have a go at him. <laugh>

If we arrive at a point whereby we know we're up the pessimists will immediately post ....

"Well it's alright being promoted but this squad isn't good enough for the Championship."

... as if only they could possibly figure that out <doh>

Why would something good happening piss on my chips? Sunderland are my club.
However I will always say it as I see it regardless of where my loyalties lie, that can’t be said of these eternal ‘optimists’.

Exactly..its a form of arrogance, in that they deliberately take a contrarian view to demonstrate they and only they can see things differently .

There's no such thing, we all know the club and staff aren't perfect.

You're mistaking hope for belief as the basis for your argument ...

I’m always optimistic. In every aspect of my life. Been through some utterly awful times. But optimistic about everything. You are no more realistic than I am.

You’re a complete hypocrite. Everyone says it as they see it. That’s called an opinion. Just because someone sees it differently to you doesn’t make them right or wrong. It’s called an opinion and everyone, including an optimist, is entitled to one.
I accept your opinions, but I simply, as stated, do not accept that you’re a realist as you’re not. You’re a pessimist. End of story. It “pisses on your chips” because you use the term realist to back up your pessimism.

You can see this now at the SOL as we have about 30K who live in hope and rarely hear co ordinated negative pressure on club and manager until its clear we are done for ... however once the 40k crowds come back then targeting of players and manager is clearly audible.. the realists are back to be seen and heard ..

Everyone doesn’t say it as they see it, utter nonsense.
As an example if people saw Eddie Howe rallying the crowd like Johnson after their 2nd win of season he’d be ridiculed, rightly so as well.
I’ve seen people claim they’re happier with KLD than the Arabs, again absolute rubbish.
Do you think one person would be rabbiting on about human rights if they took over here?
I call it straight down middle as I see it not how I want to see it. Doesn’t mean im always right mind.

So, once again you're calling Sunderland supporters, and posters on here, liars.

Give it a rest man <doh>

You're coming on here to insult people and trying to disguise it as an honest opinion.

    I absolutely am.
It’s akin to the mags claiming they’re delighted with Wood to make themselves feel better about the reality!
    Do you think they’re liars?
