We’ve wasted a year of his development this season. He should have been loaned out or remained for the majority in the U23s Not playing in the U23s and using him for the main squad for 10 minutes every other game is pure wrong
Well..... Positives. We now know we definitely need a midfielder in and now. None of this wondering if we can make do until summer malarkey. Action is required for a creative midfielder with an eye for goal. We also need clarity on Bamford and his return. If its not likely to be soon then we need a striker too. Roberts, Gelhardt, Rodrigo and James are not the answer right now and other than Gelhardt it's safe to say they never will be. Swift got another two assists for Reading today and is better than Klich, Roberts, Bate and there's an argument that he is better suited to the role than Rodrigo.
well except in our game at your place where we had one stonewall not given and another very good shout. we’re all better at remembering the ones that go against us
The game had 0-0 written all over it as soon as the teams were out. Only a gaff from Meslier changed things. We had absolutely no balance. As soon as we kicked off we were playing like 10 individuals. Rodrigo is not a (goalscoring) striker, Gelhardt is. To be given 15 minutes at the end is ludicrous. Yes, he played as badly as the rest of them, but trying to play catch up with 15 minutes on the clock is impossible. We desperately needed Dallas in Midfield today. If we could have controlled midfield, we would have won. The sooner Bielsa goes the better. I'd take Potter any day of the week.
How did Southampton manage a 1-1 draw against Citeh? How did Brighton keep Chelsea quiet midweek How did Wolves beat Man U How did Everton beat Arsenal. They changed their tactics, and made themselves difficult to beat; some Bielsa is incapable of doing. Citeh put 7 past us. Man U gas us our annual hiding. The list goes on.
Swift got another two assists for Reading today and is better than Klich, Roberts, Bate and there's an argument that he is better suited to the role than Rodrigo. The above from Emu is a great question However the answer is that Swift is a greedy cnut so dont want him at our club. Yes he wants to play Prem football but want so leave on a free at the end of the season so he leaves Reading with no fee and he gets to negotiate a huge wage in June so fk him
We also took 4 points off City last season. Beat Spurs, Leicester. Drew against Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal all playing the same way we are now. Everyone were full of praise last week because we got a result at West Ham. We'd turned a corner and were heading for the top half. It's risky football we play and I love it. You got to take the rough with the smooth and today we just couldn't get that final ball right and we make a mistake at the other end. Dust ourselves down and move on. (But hopefully with a couple of better players signed and a couple of injuries back). Try not to get so high off the highs and so low off the lows @ellandback. You'll do yourself a mischief.
It's not necessarily just Swift @Doc. We have had problems with our creativity in the final third all season. It's just not flowed. The loss of Phillips has been a major blow and the intelligence of Bamford obviously doesn't help but Rodrigo just hasn't clicked in this side. His stats look OK but it's frustrating watching him make the wrong options over and over. His predecessor Pablo used to give the ball away alot but when it clicked in to gear he just ran that midfield and nobody could touch him. Rodrigo doesn't have that impact. I'm a huge fan of Klich. His unselfish runs are intrinsic to Bielsaball but he seems to be running through treacle the last 18 months. It's not a dip in form now, I don't think he will ever come back to what he was for us in the Championship. We need better. Roberts is Roberts. 5 minutes here and there just isn't cutting it. Swift is an option but the main point is that there are players out there that could come in and improve us at minimal cost. There are hundreds of millions on the line and although I feel we'll be OK with what we have It's just an unnecessary gamble.
Well that's disappointing, going to put a downer on my Sunday. What on earth happened to the team that played West Ham?
Are you for ****ing real about Bielsa? Or more of your clickbait ****? Potter which one Harry with a wand?
Well folks, what a frustrating day that was please log in to view this image First half we played well, we often got round the back of the Newcastle defence, however we chose the wrong option so many times, also when the ball was delivered in the box there was no natural predator to take advantage of our dominance. Second half we were far too predictable, sloppy & never looked like scoring even if we played all night. The writing was on the wall, we would create our own downfall with three errors that led to Newcastle's goal. Questions to be asked : Why did we change a winning team? Understandably, Llorente would return. Why drop Hjelde who has played well twice against a top strike-force in Bowen & Antonio. Without Forshaw & Dallas in midfield, we were far too open in the middle of the park. Should Dallas have played alongside Klich & Koch? Why sub Klich? who I thought held us together in midfield, no wonder he kicked the water bottles after being subbed Predictably came into play, sadly called it right as Tyler was sent on when we needed a goalscorer on the park? Why send Joe on as soon as we go one down, unfair expecting Joe to produce the goods with only ten minutes to go. Concerns Teams disrupting our games, players rotating going down like ninepins wasting time. Toothless up top. Why did we only make Dubravka worked once in the whole 90 minutes? So many of our goals conceded are down to a cluster of errors. The writing was on the wall, predictable as ever! Newcastle have won only one game all season, we have gifted them five points. Their new signings or Saint Maximan didn't have a massive impact on the game, but still collected the three points. You never really know how a Bielsa side is going to perform, please log in to view this image we could quite easily go on & win our next two games at Villa Park & Goodison Park. Still think our Premier League position is safe because the teams below us are far worse imo!
