I get what you’re saying but I reckon we aren’t far behind the Scottish premier League and he isn’t playing, I love Defoe mate and would love his fairytale return but I think there’s too much romance and not enough logic to it, I want us up and I’m not sure it’s too risky. Of course it depends on what the other options are.

 

no idea mate, but I think the reason we tied him back down to a contract was for this very reason.

 

Totally agree, it will go down as 'undisclosed' no doubt but I've never really thought that LJ fancied him as a player. Just a hunch on my part, no particular reason.

 

£250k plus 30% profit sell on for Hume would do it for me. He’s 3rd choice left back and the alternative is just eventually releasing him when his contract ends. He wasn’t overwhelmed with offers when he was a freebie…

I think it's to do with his injuries. How many games has he missed since he broke into the first team? I don't think he's developed as far as he could have by now because of it, and he never seems far away from another spell out because of injury. And Cirkin already looks a better player with more potential.
