How we haven't brought in a striker when Bamford's been out most of the season beats me. its not the championship where you can fill holes this is a league with the fooking best players in the world ours can't even score against the shyte of the league. yet we still think Tyler Roberts or Dan James can lead our front line in the Premier League. every man and his dog know they can't. Last week feelings have all gone and it's back to being frustrated as hell. that 2nd half was dreadful to watch. and for my mates to gloat at me makes it even worse I've told them all to Fook off and leave the bunch of cnuts.
Defensively I thought we did OK with the exception of Llorente who Wood bullied and Maximin had him all over the place. Between Struijk, Dallas and Ayling we looked OK with Koch helping out. The transition to attack was good with Struijk and Llorente picking some great cross field balls to stretch the play and get in behind. The massive issue this season has been possession and creating chances in the final third. When we lose it cheaply it allows teams to break on us and Newcastle took advantage of our lack of ability to create and take chances in tight areas. I feel like a broken record but we don't have ONE natural goalscorer in this team or even squad. Not a single one! This obsession with non goalscoring wingers has to stop. Klich doesn't have the legs to get there anymore, Rodrigo doesn't score many, James has a poor goalscoring record, Harrison is hit and miss, Raphinha takes the penalties which inflates his stats this season, Gelhardt hasn't got going yet at this level, Roberts is Roberts and even Bamford isn't a natural goalscorer despite having the season of his life last year. I see Swifty got a couple of assists again for Reading but yeah, Roberts or something..... Until we get a midfielder who gets goals or a striker/attacking winger who can finish we might not be safe yet.
Not sure on that one. I'd have to rewatch it but on viewing it live I immediately blamed Roberts for needlessly losing possession when there was an easy pass on letting Newcastle break. I assume Ayling was bombing forward (as per instruction) to try and force the overload. Once we lose it Ayling is out of position. Like I say I have to watch it back to see where Ayling was. He SHOULD have been bombing forward.
You where right: and I come in peace because Leeds is my 2nd. I thought you just missed some key players and we got very lucky. Want your opinion on the pen call because it looked like one but ofc I am biased. All the best for the rest of the season.
FFS I can't believe what i have been reading on the forum to catch up with the game, just got in from work & was looking to avoid the scoreline, so i could watch the game on motd tonight, but after last weeks performance excitement got the better of me, and couldn't resist getting in on the excited banter, and my prediction of a 4-0 win or near enough, gonna wake up in a minute from this bad dream, as i still find it impossible we lost to a Fcking SH** side like newcastle, who find it impossible to win a game------------------------------------ Nahhhhh i was right, this is just a nightmare. One big step farward, and then two massive steps back
It was a stonewall penalty although we don't get those either to be fair. You took advantage of our sloppy play in the final third and managed to look dangerous on the break. The perfect away performance to be fair. I'd say good luck for the season but I wouldn't mean it.
