Because they're fair weather, they'd rather spend £40 on two games than £100 on 14! Will try anyway

There's an option to move if you want to. The person I'm signing is 'that much of a fan' but was out of work at the start of the season so is delighted. He is sitting on his own though as I'm not leaving my seat, its too good!

I like how many season ticket holders on twitter are happily enough finding as many people as they can to give this deal to because they want to see a full stadium, not mentioning anything about what they paid for their own tickets or how Mike Ashley is bending them over.

    Good on 'em.

I for one am definitely tempted by this, although I can understand it's a bit of a bitch if you have already bought a full season ticket.

Myself and a few friends were considering going for a season ticket at the start of the season but decided to put it off a year and save up a bit of money for it, but we had discussed looking into a half season ticket in January each last week. As my friend's mam has a ticket we will probably go through her to get them.

It does make business sense tho, the stadium has been on average 4k (I think) off capacity this season, which is pretty damn good, but filling it would be awesome.

Also the timing is very interesting considering the recent court cases with television rights, a few pubs near mine have started showing all matches in the last few weeks.

It's been on Sky Sports news about this throughout the day, I was quite taken aback at the amount of people that turned up today to purchase the cheap tickets, the queues were massive. I knew people would take advantage of the offer but as it was only announced today I assumed they'd have been sold over the week, I think the club took advantage of the school holidays knowing that more people would be at home this week.
There has been an empty seat next to me for the last couple of seasons, often for the bigger games I've had a visiting supporter beside me, I have to laugh because there's been a few occasions when they haven't returned after half time. (nothing to do with me honestly) I've thought about trying to get this seat for my niece, but as my cousin and brother who I attend the games with both work away from home, we often have a spare. Looking at the amount of people that turned out today though, I'd be lucky if this seat is still unsold.

I would definatley buy tickets off people for full price for the odd game as its a bit far to travel from south of london every week but when i have a weekend off i would love to head "home" at any given opportunity! If you could find other people willing to do the same could you make a profit??

P.S. could we have a spare ticket thread?

Averages £2.64 a game for kids.

    Full house for Everton?

For someone who gets to about 14 games a year at home this is great.can the season ticket holder only buy 1 ticket for their friends and family or more? However, it would mean showing them my real age and getting an adult ticket...whereas now I'm getting junior tickets for the games.

On another note, the season ticket holders could do a deal with their 'mate' so that both people were better off...I.e. Sell it for £250 instead of £207 or whatever the price is.

I'm feeling generous and since my football supporting mates already have season tickets I have a spare ticket which I'll put up for grabs. If anyone wants a season ticket for half price let me know. Terms and conditions apply..<whistle>

Hitch a ride. There's always plenty of Toon supporters drive up from all parts of the country. I know one that comes up from London for all the home games.
